Hubby and I came to Mr Chef on a date night because we were in the area and were on the lookout for some good Nepalese/Indian food. This restaurant was on the corner, but was a bit confusing because it was right next to an outdoor Mexican pop-up place. Found the storefront no problem and when we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the owner who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He showed us menus to order from at the front before we grabbed our seats. The menus are getting a re-do to be less fragile, but they were in the shape of India (how cool is that?!) We were unsure about what to order, so he asked us a few questions to help narrow in on some suggestions. We ended up getting an order of chicken “C” momo, Tawa Chicken Chilly, garlic naan, and a serving of rice. We figured we’d be ending up with leftovers and we were right because it was a ton of food. Everything was delicious. The momo had a wonderful crispy and tender texture and the sauces were a great complement. The Tawa Chicken Chilly was something totally new and unknown to us, recommended by the owner and it was so good. It was unlike any flavor curry we’d ever had before but was just as rich and spice-filled as a good curry would have. We asked for it to be mildly spicy for the sake of my husband and it was perfectly prepared. The garlic naan was arguably the best I’ve ever had. They were thin and crispy with just enough doughy softness to soak up and complement the Tawa chicken chilly well.
I was very pleased and impressed with our experience from start to finish and I look forward to coming back!

Always phenomenal dining experiences here. Naan is fresh and crispy, and chili (‘c’) momo are always so flavorful with amazing texture balance between chewy and slightly crunchy. Food may take a couple minutes more to prepare, so you’re guaranteed to have consistently delicious meals. The chef/owner is also super sweet and checks in on everyone, which just enhanced our dining experience. Absolutely recommend – I’ve eaten here more than a few times since grand opening, and am on my way again writing this!

I absolutely love their food—it’s spicy, savory, and packed with flavor in the best possible way. Every dish hits the spot, and I always find myself coming back for more. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the servers are incredibly friendly, making every visit a genuinely enjoyable experience. Whether you’re a fan of bold flavors or just looking for a great place to eat, I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone who hasn’t been here yet!

Do not go by the reviews of this restaurant.
This is a new restaurant (opened in December’24)
So most of the reviews are fake.
We ordered the goat curry (20$) . As can be seen in the image attached it was very oily and spicy with only bones and barely 5-6 very small pieces of goat meat . The price is not worth it . The taste is okay . At this price there are many other restaurants offering better quality .

I don’t know why I am the only people eating here today. I had low expectations when I walked in. But ur foods are sooooo good. And the chef is really friendly even though I had no idea what to order he explained them to me. If you see this review, please stop anything in hands RN and come to this place and try the foods here ASAP.

Food was fantastic. I love the momo texture and flavor. These are definitely the best I’ve had in the bay area. Servers are very friendly as well and the place has a home vibe to it!

Paneer was like rubber and just food color, no taste or flavor. Momo was okay. And the price of every appetizer is more than the main entree.

Update: Amazing food. The lemon chicken was truly unforgettable — I’ve never had anything quite like it. It was comforting, soothing, and packed with flavor in such a unique way that it instantly became a favorite.
The paneer was fresh and well-spiced, but the real surprise was the Kashmiri naan — absolutely delicious! The perfect blend of sweet and salty, with a rich texture that made it hard to stop eating. Honestly, I could have eaten just the naan by itself and still left happy.
I had the most amazing samosas here and I can’t stop raving about them! They were incredibly fresh, crispy, and packed with delicious, flavorful potato filling.

Wednesday night delivery:
1. Ordered Chicken fried rice. It’s good and had some veggies too(carrots, peas, edamame, spring onions etc), the fried rice itself was really good, the flavour didn’t reach the chicken pieces and they felt a little out of place. The quantity was right for one person.
2. The packaging was good.

A small restaurant, but made some of the better biryanis and momo I’ve had!
Limited parking, so try to park on the side streets.
