I’ve finally found the perfect replacement for Price’s Chicken Coop! I got the chicken & fish combo. This chicken was juicy, crispy, and seasoned the right way. The fish was also crispy and flaky. They both had the perfect amount of breading. The sides were yummy and, as a non hush puppy eater, I couldn’t get enough of the hush puppies. Our server Taryn had the best energy and the whole place was vibe! I got my fried chicken craving satisfied. We will definitely be back!

We Arrived At 5pm And Had A 2 Hour Wait For A Table!! A Large Crowd On Saturdays. The Bar Is Full & Individuals Standing & Waiting!! There Is A DJ, Playing All The Good Music From The 80’s , Black Street, Brandy, R Kelly. Are Just To Name A Few!! I Wondered Why They Only Had 2 Waitresses On Their Busiest Night? This place is a serious vibe and the food is so finger looking good. I will be honest I do like the original locations food better. I think this location has a little bit too much salt and seasoning on the batter.

We put our name on the wait list for our party of 2 as soon as we arrived at 5:06pm. We waited at the bar until our table was ready and were serviced by Jasmine for our drinks (she was great!). Eventually we realize the host disappeared and people coming in after us were being seated right away, prompting us to inquire about this since we were still showing #1 on the wait list. Finally we were seated over an hour later and didn’t get our food until after 6:30.
I ordered the 4 fried chicken wings meal and they were the worst wings I’ve ever had! I asked for extra seasoning and didn’t taste any at all! I sent it back and got the catfish, which was a much better option. The macaroni and cheese was very salty and the collard greens were bland. The best part of my meal was the sweet tea. My friend ordered turkey wings and liked those, but also did not like the macaroni and collard greens. Arnold was great and very accommodating to try to make up for the mishaps.
The overall experience and the food being nasty would not be enough for me to return or recommend this restaurant to others. With the amount of time we spent waiting on a table then food, we could have ordered our food at the bar, then drove home and ate it much faster.

I’ve been meaning to try this place and finally got the chance to do so tonight. I went on a Friday around 6:45pm. There was a wait but my friend and I sat at the bar. Let me start by saying the staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the 4 Wing dinner while my friend got the Croaker dinner. It was bomb! I’m so ashamed to say I ate it all. They even had a live band tonight. Definitely gave an old school, grown and mature vibe tonight but I did not mind it at all. I do wish the sides were a larger portion but other than that the food was good. I’ll definitely be back.

The atmosphere was definitely a vibe — the DJ kept the energy up and the crowd engaged all night. Overall, everything from start to finish was great. I’ll definitely be back!

Now to 100% honest. I am not a fried food person but I will try it here & there. I got the fish and chicken with the Mac & cabbage. Cornbread & hush puppies came with it. Cabbage was a little bland but everything else was delicious!! You can’t smell or taste grease which is great! Soul food places in Charlotte are hit or miss & this was definitely HIT! The drinks are delicious too! Worth every dollar… Oh I also had a taste of the candied yams from my niece plate… Delicious!! Service was good. It was busy that day but he was easy to flag down. Atmosphere was chill & welcoming. I’ll be back soon!
