We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Mr. Benny’s for the first time and it truly exceeded every expectation! The steak was cooked perfectly, the drinks were excellent, and dessert was amazing. The owner was so welcoming and the service was outstanding. We used to feel like we had to go into Chicago for this kind of experience, but we’re so glad to have something this special so close to home. It was our first time, but definitely not our last!

First time going here for my birthday, it was very nice inside and staff was extremely friendly. Overall the food was good but a little pricey. The steak was ordered medium and came out medium rare. The double baked potato was good but seemed to be missing something. The veggies were sub par. The shrimp and steak had great flavor but for the price it definitely was a 4/5.

I had the NY strip. I don’t normally leave reviews. But this was my first time at Mr. Benny’s, and I truly believe it might have been the best steak I’ve ever had. The flavor was outstanding, and it was cooked perfectly to my specification (medium rare) and the portion was more than generous. The cut was tender with substance. The baked potato was excellent, and the green beans were a wonderful flavor and perfect texture. Highly recommend.

We were looking for a nice meal to celebrate the end of a business trip and I am so happy we found this place. Our server, Vicky, might be the best I’ve had in a decade. I could have talked to her for hours. The steaks were perfect and the drinks were strong. We can’t wait to drive through the area again so we can come back!

This place is always top notch, wear your best Sunday clothes, it’s really fancy. Looks like they recently remodeled quite a bit, making it more upscale than it already was. The food is very very good all the time and the service is outstanding. I used to work at Mr Bennys in the early 80s parking cars in Matteson lol! I highly recommend this place for birthdays, anniversaries, Valentines, etc. My parents love this place, has an old time steak house vibe.
