R0: This place is both an Italian and a Greek restaurant in one. There are 2 separate menus and you can order from both at the same time. Service started out great, and then I lost my server for a bit but some of the other staff kinda filled in a little so it wasn’t ever bad.
Food was fantastic, and a great value too.
The Spinach Pie (large spanakopita) appetizer really should be called a meal. It’s not really meant for sharing and would be perfect as a light dinner. The tzatziki had a proper cucumber flavor. The salad dressing has a nice zing. The dolma was good. Highly recommend this dish if you like veggies.
Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza slice took a minute to come out. I thought they were going to give me one out of the display but I think they cooked me a fresh slice. It was delicious. I haven’t had pizza like this since the last time I was in New York. Keep in mind the plate in the pizza picture is the same size as the one from the Spinach Pie, it’s a big slice.
Grab and go service is quick, but expect to spend a little time here if you dine in. There’s a huge selection to pick from, lots of dessert options too. Definitely recommend giving this place a try. I plan on coming back and trying a few of the other menu items myself.
I ended up ordering a gyro with a side salad and potatoes. Everything was delicious.
I’m sure this will be one of my favorite places to eat in the future.
I have to admit that I’m mortified it took me so long to notice that it’s Mozza pizza + Rella gyro = MozzaRella 🙂 cute!
The new restaurant is spacious and clean, and is open 7 days a week. They also offer carryout and I saw several folks coming and going with pizzas and such.
This concept offers Greek food in addition to pizzas and Italian food, unlike their Jordan Lane sister restaurant. I am curious to try, but we are such big fans of their pizza that we couldn’t resist getting that.
Our order of garlic knots to start was hot, fresh, and plentiful. I really liked the sweet herbaceousness of the marinara dipping sauce.
You are allowed to split pizzas half-and-half on toppings (to include specialty pizzas). My in-laws did a half pepperoni half Hawaiian pizza, while my husband and I did half pepperoni and half chicken bacon ranch. The pizzas were similarly good here as they are on Jordan, though I did think the pepperoni hinged a little on the greasier/floppier side here than it does on Jordan. They’re still very new and the pizza is still very good, so not a huge deal!
We both got a slice of cheesecake for dessert (plain for in-laws, Oreo for us) and I will admit being a little disappointed in this item. It’s a very thick cheesecake, which is my preference (though I understand not everyone’s). My main problem with it was it wasn’t super flavorful and the Oreos added basically nothing — it was super hard to even discern their taste, even though you could easily see the pieces. I probably wouldn’t get cheesecake again and would perhaps opt for one of their other desserts.
Service is very friendly, helpful, and prompt, though the newness still shows a little bit. For example, our half CBR half pepperoni was originally made as a whole CBR. The waitress realized the kitchen’s mistake before she brought our food out and proactively fixed it for us by having them make an additional small pepperoni so we could get what we ordered. Of course they didn’t charge us extra and I’m pleased with how things ultimately resolved, but it did take our food a touch longer to come out than our in-laws’ so they could fix the mistake. Again, not at all a dealbreaker, just something I’m sure they’ll improve on as they gain experience!
Definitely come and support some truly lovely and hardworking folks and their delicious pizza! I’m very glad to have them in the area and look forward to returning.
