Great service, great atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Crab and shrimp ravioli – amazing. Moussaka – really amazing. Soulvaki chicken skewers- very tasty. Appetizer plate was great, babaganush was a little bit on the smoky side.

My daughter did not like Alicia salad, I think we got unfortunately a bitter set of arugula. Waitress took it back, and removed from the bill, no questions asked.

Net-net – extensive menu, lots of flavor. Very pleasant and non-rushed service.

Towards the end a big middle eastern family came for dinner. To me this is an indicator of restaurants authenticity!

If you find yourself in the downtown Santa Cruz – give them a try, you will be happy you did.

Loved the flavors of the chicken and lamb kebabs — so tasty and well seasoned! The food could’ve been a bit warmer, but the service was great and the atmosphere with Arabic music made it such a lovely experience overall. ✨

We’ve been to Mozaic in Santa Cruz about four times now, and every visit has been fantastic! The staff is always welcoming and friendly, and the food is consistently delicious at very reasonable prices.

We’ve tried a variety of dishes — the burger, wrap, ravioli, and the lamb shank with mashed potatoes — and everything has been flavorful and satisfying. It’s the kind of place where you know you’ll enjoy your meal every single time. Highly recommend!

This place is truly a hidden gem!
The Mediterranean cuisine here is absolutely delightful, with so many eye-catching dishes to choose from. We went for the refreshing watermelon salad, perfectly grilled salmon with silky purée, and of course couldn’t resist the hummus — that timeless Middle Eastern classic. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the staff are just wonderfully kind. No doubt, we’ll be back again and again. ❤️

It’s our go to Mediterranean restaurant. We always order mezeh platter, chicken souvlaki, and paella. Paella sometimes comes out bit oily, but other two are so on point and delicious every time.

My go to place in Santa Cruz.Parking garage 15’ away. Prices are very reasonable. Staff is friendly even if you get there early. The food is oh so so good. Cocktails are tragically too tasty (yum) if no designated driver. I wish I could have ordered 20 cocktails!Mahalo Mozaic for Killa Grinds!

Best pesto ever! Jalal was kind enough to share me the recipe. I loved the unique flavor of the mashed potatoes served with the grilled salmon. Sam took good care of us, his guests. A nice and fine place to dine as a group.

Literally was browsing Maps for a place to eat, and the menu made us come here for dinner. I’m really glad we did. The staff were incredibly sweet, and kind of funny. The restaurant is really nice inside – perfect for impressing that special someone. It was hard to pick out entrees out of the great selection. The apps on the other hand we knew exactly what we wanted – hummus and FIRE CHEESE. Yes, they light it on fire at the table. The pita was incredible and I could have filled on up on just that. But I had to eat my Paella! The servings of the entrees are really manageable.

I forgot to mention the drinks! My raspberry lemon drop was so tart and delicious! My friend got the hibiscus drink and she loved it as well.

A Hidden Gem with Heartfelt Service and Flavorful Food

We had a truly delightful experience at Mosaic. From the moment we walked in, the service stood out as one of the highlights—warm, genuine, and incredibly welcoming. It’s clear the team takes real pride in making every guest feel at home.

We sampled several dishes, including the starter octopus and fisherman’s cioppino, and were impressed by the quality and freshness. Every bite was full of flavor and perfectly cooked, showcasing attention to detail and a thoughtful approach to ingredients. The mocktails were also refreshingly creative—balanced and beautifully presented. For desserts we tried panna cotta – it’s very tender, not too sweet – perfect finale to the delicious dinner.

This is one of those rare spots that combines great food with an inviting atmosphere, run by passionate local owners who clearly care about what they do. Highly recommend this charming neighborhood restaurant—you’ll leave with a full heart and a happy palate.
