However, the service was ABSOLUTELY terrible. Whoever our waitress was— some short Asian descent woman with a ponytail and bangs, needs to be reconsidered for service. She was practically nonexistent the whole 45 minutes that we were there. My husband waited over 10 minutes to get his water refilled and mind you, the restaurant wasn’t even halfway full to capacity AT ALL, maybe 5 tables open at most. She didn’t ask us once if everything was okay, just made a comment if we were ready to pay towards the end when she saw us with our card out, ready to just dip outta there. Most of the servers/workers in the front were also more concerned with gossiping with each other rather than pay attention to any of their customers. There was only this one tall guy with a bit of longer hair, hanging around the bar area, that we consistently saw serve and talk to customers and be attentive. Everyone else needs to find a job that isn’t suited to customer service because this place definitely lacked that.
Tl;dr
Mid Filipino food at its finest, even worse service. 11/10 wouldn’t come back or recommend to anyone unless you like wasting money and your time. Denny’s across would’ve had better service.
Good is excellent as well. We had the gumbo, collard greens, mama’s chili and pork belly kare kare. Would definitely recommend and be back again!
I got a meat lovers omelette with French toast and it was okay. Not amazing, but not bad either. I definitely think the food is overpriced for what you get.
The service wasn’t amazing by any means. Our server took our order and pretty much disappeared until it was time for the check. Maybe she was on a break, but we asked the other servers whenever we needed something because we had no clue where ours went.
It’s a chill atmosphere-almost like a coffee shop. They had a DJ, which was cool, but I swear it was like he had filtered all of the bass out of the music. It felt kind of shrill to the ears.
I would probably go to iHop if I wanted a similar experience for better value. Obviously, you won’t find the Filipino food at iHop lol so if that’s what you’re going for then maybe try elsewhere.
The gumbo was extremely fatty and BLT underwhelming with minimal bacon. I order the chicken sandwhich after asking if it was breast. I was told yes, then received a beat out chicken thigh (looked like a hodge podge of meats). It also had BBQ sauce on it, which was not on the menu. I ended up sending it back and not ordering anything else. Server was nice and understanding though!
The vibe was nice. They had a DJ on a Saturday afternoon!
We all agreed, we would not be back.
