This was a really nice place. Clean, very well presented. Nice decor too. I had the ribeye steak medium rare and it was awesome. My girlfriend had the chef’s salad and it was bigger than we both anticipated. The waitress was really nice and very attentive but I should note that we were the only ones there. I didn’t stay in the hotel because I live in Clifton Forge, but as far as I could see, it looked decent enough.

I can’t say enough about this restaurant if you would like a home cooked meal. I have been a loyal customer for awhile now. They have all new cooks (Steve and Mani) and all new staff. We always leave happy and satisfied. As I watch other guest too, everyone seems to enjoy the food. The decor is a little dated, but that doesn’t take away from the new and great menu they created. If you would like to try some Indian Cuisine just let them know in advance (30 min wait at least) and the Indian cook, Mani, will be thrilled to make you something, proudly. Every staff member seems to love there job there and it shows in the food they make. See the photos attached for the new menu.

Needs to change their hours posted on Google. Went there at 5:15pm on Monday, July 10, 2023. The sign indicated the restaurant is only open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 4pm to 10pm.

The atmosphere was nice and well laid out. The staff was friendly and attentive. However the food needs work. The hamburger steak was ok. The fried cabbage and the baked Mac and cheese lacked flavor. I should have guessed this when I was the only one in the restaurant at 7:30 at night.

My niece and I came for dinner. I was in the mood for steak and my niece had the special, which was meatloaf and mashed potatoes. My steak was sooo tender and I couldn’t help but praise it. My niece decribed her meatloaf dinner the same way. When we left, we agreed we would have to come much more often!! Couldn’t beat the service either! All in all, I give Mountain View Restaurant the highest of stars both to the food and the excellent service.

Very nice worker. She did everything from cooking to taking your orders to operating the cash register. We got what we ordered, however it was not real warm. She did the best she could but they were not prepared to serve a meal like breakfast. Probably would not go back.

Hey my family was in town visiting read some of the reviews on their steaks showed up at 15 minutes till 5:00 and there’s a note or a bill board at the entrance to the restaurant with the phone number says call there was a girl sitting on a couch playing on her phone with no acknowledgement big good placed open up a restaurant in my opinion

Try the Seafood Combo. You won’t regret it. I have become a loyal customer of this place in th last few month. The food now really good. New menu plus Mani and Steve make this place awesome.
