Got the brisket tacos at the food truck at Highland Brewery. Service was fast and friendly. Tacos were great! The shell was very unique and tasty (I normally think taco shells are boring). Suggest you drain the picp de gallo as there was a lot of juice at the bottom of my tacos or maybe put in a side cup? Also they were leaning over so much the toppings of one fell out and made it hard to eat.

Tried this place for wings twice and they were tasty could’ve been a tad more fried. OK, so last night ordered a large order of wings and a chicken tender dinner basket to go. Wings were undercooked absolutely gummy and oversauced. Chicken tenders directly out of a frozen bag pre breaded and hands down grocery aisle frozen section quality at best and undercooked cheap cheap krinkle fries and all for $30 plus dollars pre tip! C’mon folk buy some decent chicken and hand bread up some good tenders and serve something better than the cheapest fries possible!! DO Better. Saw another review where you all responded you cant correct problems if you dont know!! Well NOW you know!! Absolutely disgusting food. I will never return to this establishment. Just plain gross.

You probably would never stop here, but you should!
The service was great, the restaurant was clean, and the food was excellent. I would not have pinned this place as a BBQ spot, but it absolutely is. I will not hesitate to stop here if I am in the area. Five different flavors of BBQ, and each was very good. Don’t pass this place by if you are in the neighborhood.

We had the most tender half rack of ribs with the best sweet BBQ sauce! Sweet potato fries and fried green tomatoes were very good as well. Such big portions! I shared a meal and had plenty of food. If you are in the area, I highly recommend you stop in for a very satisfying meal.

This place didn’t have a very welcoming vibe. I placed a to go order the other day and when I arrived to pick it up I wasn’t greeted. When I was told how much my order was, the attendant took my card, processed my payment, and turned the kiosk around so I could choose my tip amount and how I wanted my receipt. When I got back to my Airbnb, I noticed there were no napkins nor utensils for me to eat with. Luckily my Airbnb had those items. It’s customary to provide eating utensils when you pack a to go order.
I ordered the BBQ plate with macaroni and cheese and the potato salad. The dinner also came with 2 hush puppies. The BBQ was good, however, I needed that 1/2 kick sauce to eat it, because I felt it was a little dry. The macaroni was okay, but the potato salad was my favorite. I’ve never had potato salad quite like that before and it was so delicious. The hush puppies were also delicious.

Called around 5pm on 12/10/2025. Was left on hold for 15 min. My wife goes in while im on hold and finds that no customers are inside and no one is on the phone and no one’s working and they are just talking. My wife orders not mentioning anything to them anout leaving me on hold. Gets the food 10min later and left assuming she had everything. ( It was a small order.) Gets home 15 min away and finds that they did not include the brisket. $56 meal for my family. Called to complain but the phone is now ringing busy. Sadly we wont be enjoying this restaurant again. I hope someone reads this from their company and corrects their customer service issues.

I’ve eaten at Mountainview more than a handful of times and I will happily go back again and again. The staff is very nice and hospitable and the food is the kind that makes my day better.
I recommend the pulled pork, the brisket, and the ribs especially. The sampler platter for both their meals (Shane’s Sampler) and the sides/appetizers (Nibblers) are the way to go if you’re very hungry or have multiple people and are a perfect way to go.

Don’t judge a book by its cover is the first thing I will say! The outside is unassuming but when you walk in you are immediately engulfed in a warm, small town, welcoming decor and atmosphere. From the charming photos and signs to inviting tables to eat at. You go up to the counter to order where a smiley and friendly young woman takes your orser and provides some good suggestions. The food follows rather quickly and that’s where you easily forget about anything else because you have just walked into one of the absolutely best tasting BBQ joints in the Smokey Mountains, if not THE BEST. Cooked to perfection the meat is INCREDIBLE and the sides are to die for. Corn diggers fried to absolute perfection along with fried green tomatoes and the best bbq beans that I gave ever tasted. And yes this establishment was featured on the Food Network and for good reason!!!!!!! Mountain View BBQ is right off 26 and an absolute MUST STOP, if you are heading to Ashville or anywhere North, and if you are heading back South then it’s a perfect excuse for a break during your drive.
YUMMY!!!!!!! Sums it up for me. My only request, REAL HONEY BUTTER with those corn diggers. Margeraine is NOT BUTTER and a chemically laden acutrament served with all the other freshly made food is simply out of place. Bring on the real butter please . But on a serious not, those corn diggers don’t need anything to accompany them, they are delicious on their own!
