Our server Haley was excellent. She was friendly, attentive, very hardworking, and professional. She made our experience great. The food is hit and miss, but good overall. Crab dip: good if you like a style that has a lot of sour cream in it. French onion soup: extremely salty. Black Angus NY Strip Steak: excellent. Juicy and tender. Chicken Chesapeake: chicken- weird, kinda dry. Crab Imperial- phenomenal. Green beans: excellent. Mashed potatoes: excellent. Baked potato: just okay. Cocktails: extremely strong pour; hardly any juice or syrups in there to give any flavor, color, or enjoyable balance. Great if you just want to get drunk. Dessert: Gelato Ball- a little difficult to eat, but it’s extremely good. The portion size, the flavors, the quality of gelato, the generous amount of chocolate, even the price, all make this an excellent dessert.

Once good–now struggling to maintain standards
After many years of enjoyable dining at Mountain Branch Grill, our 2026 Restaurant Week visit was disappointing. It feels like a place that’s struggling to live up to its prior standards.
The restaurant week price for the dishes that are offered is no bargain for the customer. None of the main courses on the special menu are on the regular menu, & that’s probably just as well. Between the recipes, the kitchen & the service, we hope the Mountain Branch can return to the higher standards it used to maintain.
We started with the Maryland crab soup. This cup of soup was tasty but cold, & we had to return it. It returned hotter, but reheating took a long time, & others at the table had finished their starters by the time it arrived. Not much crabmeat was to be found in the chowder.
The pear & goat cheese salad was nice & tasty. The raw onions were overpowering, but certainly woke you up.
The main courses have a long way to go. The beef stroganoff is plentiful & looks good. The sauce & flavor of the dish was very bland. It’s a poor-man’s stroganoff. The beef chunks were tough, hard to cut & difficult to chew. A poor cut of beef for a stroganoff. The pasta was nice, but the dish seemed to have been made by a junior or trainee chef who didn’t pay enough attention to flavoring.
The chicken marsala was very rich & flavorful. You’ll see in the photo it looks strange, but it was enjoyable to eat. The mushrooms are good. There could have been more of them. The generous-sized chicken cutlets are presented on a heavy bed of mashed potatoes. This is a nice tasty dish. But $39 dollars (for the 3-course menu)?
The bread pudding was excellent. Unfortunately, it was heavy on the whipped cream, & very light on the caramel sauce. For many years, it has been the caramel sauce that added a great flavor & interest to this dish. With less of it, a local diner can do this dish just as well.
The server was polite & nice, but rarely to be seen. There were long periods of absence. She must have had many distractions at this 4-o’clock hour. She seemed to have only one other table to serve.
The service was not great, & certainly was not attentive.
Removing the stroganoff dish at the end of the meal, she spilled the sauce across my coat & onto an adjacent chair seat. She didn’t notice either spillage, & seemed not to know what to do after I pointed out the problems. I cleaned it all up myself. I suppose all’s well that end’s well.

Mountain Branch was absolutely beautiful! I took my friend to eat brunch there and it was our first time visiting. We were greeted right away and were seated outside as the weather was perfect. We went around 11am and it was empty considering they had just opened.

The pictures below doesn’t do this place justice. It’s a perfect location for a cute bridal shower, wedding or any special occasion to be frank.

I ordered calamari, crab dip and honey old bay wings with a sweet tea. My friend ordered a salad and a shrimp salad sandwich. The food came out pretty fast and was very delicious!

The honey used for the honey old bay wings was thick and very sticky, it was tasty but very difficult to chew through as it was causing my teeth to stick together.

We stayed a little over an hour just chatting and watching a golf tournament that was occurring just below us.

I highly recommend this place and am excited to return.

First time here. My experience was amazing. Mussels to start, they were plumpest and tastier mussels I’ve ever had. Santa Cruz Red Snapper as my entree, most tender and delicious fish I’ve had in a long time. Service was spot on. Will definitely be returning.

Excellent happy hour and fabulous atmosphere with a view that you just can’t beat. The bartender service is also excellent. Calamari was some of the best I’ve ever had. Crab dip was also good. Be sure to ask for extra bread. They always do Laura van what you paid for. Should always be busy here.

Morgan did an excellent job as our server and the food was worth coming back for! Crabcakes, lamb chops, steak, BBQ ribs, short ribs were all good. The Brussel sprouts and the crab dip were also very delicious! Prices aren’t bad either.

The food is amazing. If this is the only thing you read, then that’s the most important thing you need to see. I’m not sure how I haven’t tried this place before, it never comes up on my search list. They have amazing food, perfectly cooked, big portions , great strong drinks, awesome service. I wish I knew this place way before I had the opportunity to try it. Must try! Will for sure be going back. If I could recommend, the bread pudding and flourless chocolate cake are to die for!

Ordered a drink “surprise me,” got a delicious white cranberry martini (see photo #1). The food came out looking delicious (see photo #2), looks like the martini was enticed! The special fish dish really was perfect. We were all happy in the end (see photo #4).

Our server was responsive and seemed to really appreciate our business. Her name began with a J (a thin blonde).

This place is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!! Go in and enjoy
