The fried pork chops were salty and had no breading. The dressing/gravy were

also very salty. The greens were terrible. 60 dollars for garbage cause none of it was edible except the yams and the baked chicken was tolerable. I frequented this location prior to this and the food was good. I don’t know what happened but, just like 7 mile and Meijers they fell off real bad. Hubby and I will not be back.

Motor City soul food used to be so good now it’s just full of grease and sugar. I ordered the fried pork chop dinner with candy yams and stuffing it was 25 dollars almost $26 they charged me $0.50 for the cranberry sauce that did not come with the stuffing. The pork chops were not hot and fresh I will definitely not go back.

On this recent visit, the food was somewhat presentable, which was disappointing given the usual standards. It didn’t look very appetizing, and several menu items were unavailable. I also felt that the young server, who was also the cashier, gave smaller portions than expected and didn’t provide good value for the price. She seemed unwilling to get fresh meatloaf for my order, which affected the overall experience. Unfortunately, customer service here has consistently been below expectations — the staff, including servers and cashiers, often come across as rude and unwelcoming. I even observed the cashier being short with another customer who was confused about his order. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes improvements to both food quality and customer service.

The last meal I had was over priced, neckbones. My dressing was so salty, couldn’t eat it, the neckbones were cooked until the meat fell off of the bones, and that’s what I got; three bones and juice. Its ridiculous, how overpriced and under production/quality of the food is. The owner (?) an elderly black lady has a bad attitude as well. I think they are money hungry there. They charge .50 if you want your sides in a cup, but the 7 mile location doesn’t and said, “they’re not supposed to be doing that “. Neckbones at oak Park, eat at one sitting, same meal from the 7 mile location, enough for two sittings. Food sits in the warming tray dried out, and you ask if there will be any fresh food brought out, “no”. I have had my fill with them. I advise find another soul food place to patronize, VERY high prices and subpar food.

I’ve been going to this restaurant since it was called Motown soul food when it 1st opened back in 1999 on 7 Mile. They serve great food. They keep fresh pans coming out regularly. Sometimes they may run out of an item and you may have to wait a few minutes for the new loan to come out. Can also make your order fresh to order if requested. They only downside is the price now but an increase is to be expected with the current inflation. Staff is always friendly and courteous. I came in between rushes so they were replacing pans when I was taking pics but they are great. It’s a reason they’ve been in business so long. They do it right.

I purchased some oxtail, Mac and cheese and greens
The food was SO salty I had to throw it away. I contacted the manager and explained what had happened
He apologized and offered me a free meal on him. Let me tell you just how fabulous this food was. They gave me a lot of food. The personality of the workers could be a little better, but the food is the best Motor City Soul Food

Thank you! I decided to get the mini turkey wing, which comes with one side and a biscu6. I went with the mac and cheese and it was cooked to please, yummi!! The turkey was flavorful and the cornbread was thick. Great choice and I’ll be back with my pocketbook next time (pricey), ha!!

The Mac and cheese was horrible and so salty. My pork chop was super dry. My dressing was super dry. I was wondering why at 3:00pm on a Sunday there was barely a line. I use to think the food was delicious. It was truly disappointing!

The prices are to high for no reason cause the food is not even good I got a turkey wing dinner with yams and Mac and let me just say my dog would not eat this.The turkey wings are tuff and dry the Mac is not good the only thing that is eat able is the yams. They need to do better…. Also got a meatloaf dinner and for a extra piece of meatloaf they wanted to charge us $8 for a piece this is so not worth it 1/10 I give them a 2 sorry not sorry I spent 55 dollars for this and I am pissed
