This was now my 4th time at Mother India and each visit has been amazing! All the played of food I’ve had are so flavorful and unique that I have to say this is the best Indian restaurant I’ve been to. My top rated dishes would be the fish pakora, lamb Raan and the garlic Naan. Would highly recommend anyone in Glasgow to make your way to Mother India

Mother India is unbeatable, we enjoyed an absolutely immense dinner here and it’s one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten. Candle lit, wood panelled dining with a buzzy and warm atmosphere, efficient and helpful staff, an extensive menu and utterly delicious food. We had the poppadoms (a huge basket), all three chutneys, boiled basmati rice, peshwari naan, black dahl, butter chicken and spinach paneer with broccoli. The black dahl was standout, rich and luxurious. Well worth the money and an unforgettable experience – make sure you add it to your Glasgow list. Reservation highly recommended.

This restaurant came in highly recommended by the locals and it did not disappoint

Firstly kudos to the staff for accommodating us at short notice even though they were fully booked. After tasting the food I now understand why they are fully booked.

At first glance this place is very deceiving from the outside. However it’s a proper, homely and welcoming full service restaurant.

Although a little more expensive than the average indian restaurant, they don’t compromise on quality ingredients and the portion sizes are decent

The food was exceptionally flavourful, authentic and delicious. The butter chicken and seafood were probably the best we’ve ever eaten in comparison to restaurants across the globe. Not forgetting the Naan breads and lemon rice were incredible.

A hidden gem that must be tried. Thank you to the management team and servers for exceptional 5 star service. Highly rated and recommended.

We walked by and got turned on by the smell coming out of that place. It smelled delicious! It was a Saturday night, so we had to wait about 25 minutes for a table, but it was worth it. Some of the most spectacular Indian food we’ve ever had. We had the Smoked Haddock as an appetizer (delicious) and we got the prawns and the butter chicken all served with basmati rice and garlic naan for main courses. Wow!!! Everything was perfectly cooked, the prawns were fresh and nice and spicy, the chicken was tender and succulent, the sauces were amazing, it was perfection. Service was spot on and if I’m ever in Glasgow again, I’ll check out the rest of the menu.

The whole experience was great. Even though we were booked late on a midweek night, I was amazed at how busy the place was—a true testament to its reputation. There is a real old-school, fine-dining feel about the restaurant that sets it apart from your average curry house.
The service is polished and the atmosphere is vibrant, making it feel like a proper event rather than just a quick meal. It’s a good price for a high-end experience.

Our friends brought us to this Indian restaurant which was bustling with people. It was pretty noisy. I didn’t like the ambiance as we were seated too close to the kitchen. The food was tasty. The price was reasonable. Vegetarian options are available too. They will kindly pack the leftovers for you too. That was a kind gesture. If you love Indian cuisine, you should try this one too.

Zero star as they ruined our whole wonderful experience of Glasgow tour.

We had a very disappointing experience at Mother India. The restaurant overcharged us, and when we politely raised the issue, the staff was extremely rude and even started shouting instead of resolving the matter. On top of that, the food quality was poor – the garlic dishes and other items were undercooked. Very unprofessional service and unacceptable behavior. Definitely not recommended.
