This is one of the finest dining experiences we’ve had. The food is exquisite, the service is amazing and the hospitality is amazing. We had the Mutton Kolhapuri, the Mutton Pandhra Rassa, Mutton Saoji, and Mutton Sukka. The serving portions were great, the taste reminded all of us of India, for a few hours we were transported to India.
I would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore the diverse cuisine of Maharashtra, India. The kulfi, chai and Kothimbir wadi were second to none as well.

Drove 3 hrs from San diego to visit this place. We were extremely excited to visit Mother India for good food. DO NOT order misal pav! DONOT! It is the worst I have had, tastes nothing like misal, no farsan was provided and was topped with a thick layer of oil. Solkadi was too sour. Fried pomfret was soaked in oil, and the marinade was basic. The only good dish was the malvani fish curry with prawns.

We stopped by this place while driving from LA to north bay and this was only place offering popular Maharashtrian food items.
The ambience was mediocre, however their food was quite flavorful. We mostly ordered Maharastrian food items like pithla, bhakri, chicken sukkha and chicken saoji. The highlight dish was chicken saoji which was quite flavorful and had balance of spices. Chicken sukkha had too much spices and was burning for the palate. Prices reasonable for all items. Overall was a good experience for indian food.

It was the first time we visited this restaurant. My family and I loved the food. We ordered Maharashtrian and south Indian food. All dishes were delicious! Especially the Kolhapuri Tambada Rassa!!! It was so authentic that it reminded us of Kolhapuri home food. Along with that, the restaurant owner gave us complimentary Zunka & Bhakri! So exquisite! She suggested us some chef’s special dishes. Kanda Bhaji, Sole kadhi was unique. Highly recommended!!
The person who took our order, Aashish was kind and gave us the best hospitality during our visit.
People should definitely try this restaurant for authentic Maharashtrian dishes!

A small but comfortable dining spot with good seating. Excellent food provided from a pleasant hostess and staff. Tried the malai kofta and it was absolutely fantastic, accompanied by samosas, fresh and hot with two sauces. The rich smell of spices inside make it so exotic and flavourful. Many thanks to the staff for making my dining experience there a pleasant and satisfying one. May they have success and prosperity in their business. Thank you.

Samosa is good, it’s fresh, use puff pastry sheets so it gives it a crunch. Malai kofta and naan are good too. Great portion and good value for price. Atmosphere is okay, just needs some classic Bollywood music to give it a theme. Overall great
Update: I think this Indian restaurant is underrated. Lots of people really need to check it out. It may seem outdated but man they don’t miss.

My goodness. Mother India is open today, and I happened upon them while looking for donuts. I ordered all of the versions of samosas (chiken, lamb, veggie) and asked the chef, Mother, if she made idli sambar, a favorite dish from my youth. She said that it was not on the menus, and she had made some for someone and just happened to have some!!!! I added it to my order and can’t wait to taste it!!! These first photos are of the samosas, eating some in my car. I have never had a flakier crust and such fragrant ingredients!!! I will update later with photos of the idli sambar.

This, this was the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Yes I know that sounds over the top. I could tell that whoever cooks in that kitchen cooks with love and devotion. Everything was made fresh. The spices were vibrant and the colors were beautiful. The place was well decorated and clean. Wait Staff was very nice and helpful. That was an incredible experience. I will be back!! I ordered the The chicken samosa
(real pastry!)
Coconut Curry and the mango lassi, rice and garlic nana.
Yum!!!
