I really hope the temporary closure is actually temporary. We went a few months ago randomly & I forgot to review. We loved our meal. We ordered the Pecan crusted brie, Kahuna tuna & Asian filet beef bowl. We don’t live in the area so I hope they’re open again in the future.

When we first entered, we were greeted by Turtle and he told us how the restaurant worked. We ordered our food and we were not disappointed. Very yummy breakfast. I had the bacon omelette and there was plenty to go around. The fresh fruit was delicious. Nice strong coffee. Don’t be thrown off by the name of this place. The food is 10/10

Great home cooked food! Food was perfect. Service was great, the only thing that is a little strange is having to order at the cash register then have to find a table.

First time experience. Food was delicious. Great menu options, GF for those who need it. Had the breakfast bowl, Turkey burger and some pancakes! Some really good desserts, but didn’t partake. Neat place, friendly staff and clean. You will be satisfied at the Mosquito Cafe!

One of the best spots for breakfast on the island. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The grits aren’t your typical southern grits, but they’re still good. We love the self serve coffee station and art on walls. Your mom and aunts will love this place.

Stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday and the place was PACKED. I’d wager that speaks to consistent quality that people enjoy.
The menu was fairly carb heavy, but there were appealing options. The prices are higher than I’d expect, but it is what it is. I paid just over $100 for a group of four (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 kid).
The service was solid. Lots of smiling faces and positive attitudes. They got the food out quickly too.
The venue feels small and cramped when a lot of people are there, but they also have outside seating. If you sit outside be mindful of flies.
I don’t think I’d go back to this place, given the prices, but it was worth the shot.

Food was absolutely delicious! We would definitely go back when we head down to Galveston. Be aware that you order at the counter and hope to find an open table. We ate around 9:30. The line was out the door(good sign for good food) which also meant waiting in the heat while the line moved. But as I said, we will definitely go back!!!

We stopped here for breakfast/brunch and were very pleased with the whole experience. The food was really good but what really blew us away is the customer service. The inside is pretty small but they made an effort to find everyone a table even before your ordered. I had a bacon omelette and for the first time in my life an omelette actually had real slices of bacon . Thick bacon too not that paper thin ihop stuff. Oh, and the mimosas had the perfect mix of juice and wine. we will be back in a couple of months for sure

Food was great! Friendly environment. Sit outside with the fans blowing on us. It was cozy. The quality of the food was great. Flavors went together well. The burger had a nice charcoal home vibe feeling with a lot of depth.
