This was a great spot to have lunch when I was in town. The day I visited, they were out of Beyond Meat, but they still had black beans and refried beans, so I wasn’t disappointed. As soon as I asked for Beyond Meat the employee asked me if I was vegan or vegetarian and told me that the rice is cooked in chicken broth. I really appreciated that she knew to bring that up. The house made salsa verde was delicious and the burrito was filling and hit the spot. Fun and quirky atmosphere. I loved the covered patio area. It has picnic tables and bar seating that looks out to the road. The service was good and the price was very good for the amount of food I ordered.

Build your own burrito bowls are always a great lunch option on the road. They can be as healthy (or unhealthy) as I want them to be. And I like getting to customize things.
I had a beef barbacoa bowl with pickled onions, pico de gallo, guac, sour cream, lettuce and a handful of other things on it… And I was pleasantly surprised that the side of chips also came with a little guac to dip in.

Wow that was a good burrito bowl. I could have used more rice and it doesn’t look the best (it looked soggy)…but it was really good. Excellent flavor from all the ingredients, and the chips were superb. I’m sure they’re loaded with salt/msg but this is probably the best quick serve Mexican I’ve had.

Chipotle sets the bar high, and this place falls short. Their food is mediocre at best, with stale chips being a highlight compared to the bowl I got which is sad. Chipotle portions are definitely wayyyyyyy bigger by a lot! I ate this in one sitting. That’s almost impossible for a chipotle bowl. Service was good, but good service can’t compensate for subpar food. If you’re looking for a solid bowl, stick with Chipotle for sure.
