They had food setup at One Metropolitan downtown, the food was decent but I didn’t taste anything that makes me want to return.
1st The sauce on the ribs was tasty but the ribs themselves were a bit chewier than I like and I didn’t taste any smoked flavor, really didn’t give a grill taste but the sauce did save them a little.
2nd the mac and cheese had a good taste but it doesn’t give baked mac & cheese more of stove top.
Overall not a bad experience but the price point has them way over priced for what you get, ribs and mac & cheese cost me $21.94 when you can get 2 meats and 2 sides at Salt & Smoke for that price.

This is my personal experience on my visit here regarding the food. I had a brisket sandwich with baked beans. My gf had pork ribs with baked beans. I smoke and grill, ALL THE TIME, our food tasted oven baked at best. Both of our meats came drenched in sauce(neither of us asked for sauce)and that was the only flavor. The brisket was very fatty, and i had four half pieces, which equals to about two whole slices. Not enough meat for the price paid. No smoked or grilled taste at all. The baked beans tasted like canned pork n beans with black beans and sugar added, with a side of mystery meat in it(Im gonna assume it was ground beef). We were the only people in there, and we were helped right away. But, no drink offered, not even water. For a downtown location on Washington ave, you’d think the place would be hopping, and, my opinion, I see why it wasn’t. Nice spot, but the food was more than lacking.

Mosito’s BBQ is the real deal! I had the chance to meet the owner, who was incredibly gracious and welcoming. He even prepared a sample for me—which was such a nice touch. And let me just say, the turkey leg might be one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life. Smoky, juicy, packed with flavor… it was unforgettable.

Between the food, the hospitality, and the passion behind it all, Mosito’s BBQ is a spot I’ll be raving about to friends and returning to every time I’m in St. Louis.

The vibes were alive and the flavors are unmatched. I honestly feel like a different person after having their rib tips. If I lived in Missouri I would make it a point to eat here as much as possible

It’s all energy, frequency, vibration… right? If you don’t know, NOW you know. Thank GOD! As far as the food at Mosito’s… specifically the brisket, meats, and SOULful sides… REAL deal, delicious, and prepared with heart. I know this because I have felt the hearts and souls of those making it! The owner is known and loved, Chivas Johnson, he has always seemed to care for Mosito’s customers and team deeply… I know they have an excellent reputation for catering and large orders, too. That said, at this time I have only dined as a Downtowner and Mama of two growing/always hungry kiddos. Give it a go!

I stopped by for a light to go meal and man I was taken away with how good the service and food was. I got a turkey rib and some Mac and cheese. The turkey rib came with fries which was great. I took a bite before I left and sat down and ate the whole meal. The only thing is the Mac and cheese could have better. But the meat came right off the bone and the fries were seasoned well. Will be back

Well Well this place took me by surprise first off and I must say we’re be back! Fo sure. The Food was amazing and turkey legs are great. Juicy with favored and meat tender coming off the bone! The greens I must say is a must try! This is the first time I ate collard greens at restaurant that was actually good. The beef brisket sandwich can’t go wrong. The rib tips are tender not heavy seasoning I got it without the sauce.but got sauce on the side once you dip it! Watch out. Sauce is great! Black eye peas in my opinion needed pepper/salt added for little more flavor.. The baked beans wasn’t that great but good. I kept tasting mustard more anything. The Potato salad I noticed few bbq joints have the same potato salad store brought. They give you wet towels help keep those finger tips clean. Great customer service and the owner in the kitchen making it happen for his customers and awesome indeed! Parking may be difficult at times pending on time of day.. Go. Go check this place out. Service was absolutely welcoming. It felt like we were invited into a family’s home cooked meal. But then the food arrived and that is when I was taken to another world.

I had never had pork steak before and I think I have been ruined for life in the best way possible. This was a mouth watering, truly emotional food experience. If I ever try a pork steak somewhere else heaven help that restaurant because every pork steak I ever eat again will be compared to this one.

I could not stop myself. Every time I told myself, “Alright Tanya, this is your last bite and you have to stop,” my hand was already moving toward another forkful of that perfect seared crust with melt in your mouth flavor on the inside. And just when you think, “Oh cute there are fries under here, they must just be filler,” think again. These crisp, sauce carrying fries absolutely joined in on the flavor celebration.

It is a miracle I can write this clearly after that meal, but I am doing it for the good of humanity. Because here is the truth. If you love barbecue or if you are new to the barbecue experience you absolutely must come to Mositos. But consider yourself warned. Once you eat here every barbecue experience you have from this moment on will be compared to this one.

For $21 The rib tips are really good and smoked well. You get a sample size of fries. The side of baked bean were $6. Portion wise, they were not worth $6 maybe $4.50 tops. We called in our order in to get a better understanding, due to different menus.They also have a soulard location which is where we got the number from so assumed that’s where we would get our food. No. It was ok Washington Ave. Anyways overall would recommend.
