Great place to check out. Meals under $15 but if you order a drink think more like $20 to $30 a person. I stopped in and had the cheese curds (crunchy and not greasey) the fish and chips (fries where seasoned wonderfully and the cod was deep fried perfectly). For ale I had the old doods (respectable), the paradise (quite good) and the bombadistic murder Mexican choc imperial stout (an absolute must try). Good service. Sorta left me in the lurch waiting to be seated as they seated several other parties first (but I was solo as usual)…so it happens often. This is a must stop for an ale if you are in the area.

The wings here are delicious! Ordered the bacon burger and it was really good as well..! There were a few flies which was a little annoying while eating. Our waitress had a hard time remembering to bring tartar sauce but I could tell she was trying. Overall pretty good experience I’ll give it another try someday.

We were greeted at the door and opted to sit at the bar. We ordered chicken wings and nachos. The chicken wings were delicious. They compare to our favorite place in Jensen Beach, Florida, Conchy Joe’s. The homemade chili on the nachos was delicious. Tori was our server, and she was very personable and professional. We had a great experience and will go back when passing through Moscow.

I went for dinner and everything closes so early in Moscow! I was glad to see Moscow Althouse open. I ordered Chicken Alfredo and they were out of broccoli for the 2nd time out of 3 times I have been there, but the food was so good I didn’t really miss it! The server did a good job of being attentive without showing her boredom of few customers by coming to the table too often. I suggest trying this place, its not bar food!

New to area, first and only visit to this restaurant. Experience wasn’t good, from the poor service to the long wait time (in an uncrowded restaurant during the work week) to the nearly cold and clammy fish and chips. The galling part is I paid before even getting my food because it was taking so long (lunch hour – had to get back to work) and gave a 20 percent tip. Deserved zero for the experience. Never coming back, even if someone else pays.

Came in to the alehouse on Saturday night with a friend to get drinks and food. I have Celiac Disease and must eat gluten free. There was a sign at the front stating that they cannot 100% guarantee gluten/allergy free food, and while I completely understand that there was a risk of cross contamination eating here, I was not prepared for the horrible way in which they handled my simple request for a gluten free bun.
Our server, Emma, seemed very friendly but did not write down any of our order which resulted in her forgetting the most important part of the whole meal, the gluten free bun. It wasn’t until we got our receipt and I had eaten most of the burger, that we noticed there was no additional charge for a gluten free bun. When asked about it, Emma gave a halfhearted apology, said that they (the kitchen, I assume) must’ve forgotten to put it on a gluten free bun, and then proceeded to take my card to charge it. Sounds like she ended up telling her manager about the incident and the manager gave us a “discount” of about $2. I was too upset and already not feeling well enough to push the issue further but am now wishing I had because I’m feeling very ill from the gluten and $2 off and no other compensation for this big of a mess up is absolutely not okay. That was by far the most amount of gluten I’ve had in years and I’m just so disappointed in the negligence and lack of care and self accountability from our server as it was obviously her fault (and she must’ve known it too, because she completely disappeared and hid behind the back counter the rest of the time we were in the restaurant.) I don’t think I will ever return to the alehouse and I don’t recommend it for anyone else with any kind of dietary restrictions/allergies as they obviously don’t care and have no empathy for messing up and making people sick like this.

This is my first and last time ordering fish tacos. Tastes go off and bread has significant smell maybe old Idk and expensive. Fries taste good though.
