I’ve never been to an Italian restaurant who didn’t serve dipping oil with their bread. The waiter asked me what it was and pointed to a greasy dusty bottle of oil that was sitting on the table. I ask her to check and she comes back with exactly what I asked for. Now I wonder if she forgot or just wasn’t going to give it to us. The food was bland to say it nicely and well over priced for the quantity. We got full on the bread and water. The water offered more dipping oil and when we got our check, $6.00 each for flipping dipping oil!!! They won’t have to worry about my family returning ever!! We still left a tip but this review is the biggest TIP!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed a delicious birthday dinner out at Moscatiello’s. This was our first visit and won’t be our last. We enjoyed our dinners and had great service. A nice vibe. Authentic Italian food, great service and value. Plenty of parking. Highly recommended. 5 stars.

Worst banquet experience ever! Service and experience was beyond sub par. There were 40 people, we paid for 5 hours top shelf open bar and the bartender was acting as a waiter and he was literally behind the bar for a total of 20 sporadic minutes in the only 3 hours that we were there. I knew we would only be there three hours so they were making money right off the top.

I tried to talk to the bartender to ask him to be behind the bar to no avail and then asked to speak to the owner who was arrogant and rude and said he would not do anything to correct the situation as he didn’t see there was a problem. People were literally standing in front of the bar for drinks and the bartender was not there and then they would go back and sit down unserved.

They also said that their screw up in our meal selections were our guests fault for taking the wrong meals. Can’t make this up! They literally didn’t make enough of what we ordered and then blamed it on our guests.

I would stay away from this place for banquets or anything else. We were definitely ripped off.

On a Saturday afternoon, I went to the bar around 5 o’clock and ordered the $38 New York strip center cut steak cooked medium

The state came with roasted potatoes enough for three side dishes sautéed mushrooms
I had to pay extra for a tiny salad. I don’t know what I paid for it, but it probably wasn’t worth the money a bunch of mixed greens thrown on the plate, lettuce hanging all over the edge of the plate with some lousy dressing And topped with some lousy, canned olives
When my state came first thing, I noticed it was not a center cut New York strip. It was the end up by the shoulder cut, and there was a lot of grizzle on the steak and I had to leave it because she can’t chew grizzle or fat. The steak tasted like it had a vinegar flavor to it almost resembled the taste of sour vinegar flavor
The steak was well done and tough. I proceeded to eat Because I was hungry and I didn’t have time to send it back
If you’re gonna serve a $40 steak, have somebody in the back that knows how to cut it and somebody that knows how to cook it
I have to say that the service at the bar was very good
And at the end of my meal, I ordered a simple dish of vanilla ice cream. It was the worst ice cream of very poor quality
The total bill came to $51 and change

We really enjoyed our dinner here! Our favorites were the lobster ravioli, shrimp imperial, and shrimp florentine. The blue cheese dressing on the side salads was also amazing (I think it’s homemade). The bar area was a little loud/rowdy, but other than that, it was a great time!

Wednesdays, they have a $5.00 dz steamed clams appetizer so we finally took the short ride to a restaurant we’ve been fond of for years. Its always been a mainstay for family events and fundraisers but it’s also a first class dining place.
Happy hour prices for the bar patrons offer generous glasses of wine and 22oz beers for the pint price.
The clams were amazing as was the fresh calamari with a spicy marinara. Also had the peperoni bread with marinara which was 5 stars!
Great staff and service, plenty of parking. They have an extensive variety on the menu which never disappoints. Treat yourself!

Over this past weekend we had an unplanned small group gathering & didn’t have the time to cook… so we ordered 5 family meal deals. We ordered the spinach pasta fasul, spaghetti with 3 meatballs, portobello mushroom ravioli, penne vodka with chicken & chicken Marsala over spaghetti… a great variety of food to choose from & everything was excellent and price was reasonable.

We would like to thank the staff of Moscatiello’s for providing the food tonight for a family holiday dinner at our house. We had lasagna, a side of meatballs and sausage, a huge anti-pasto with dressings, and their wonderful Italian bread and butter. In a word, the food was plentiful and delicious. They even provided us with serving utensils to help with serving the food. It was a huge time and energy saver to let Moscatiello’s prepare the food for us. We know that food from Moscatiello’s equals a guaranteed successful party. Thank you staff of Moscatiello’s. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you all! .
Sincerely,
Rick and Mary Ann Matters

Despite the heavy Northern West coast style rain that plagued our region last night, we had delicious dinner out with friends, which delighted us. Amongst what we enjoyed were a an appetizer of Portobello mushrooms and roasted peppers. These were delicious! The soup du jour was large bowl of Manhattan Clam Chowder, cooked to perfection.

The main Main meals consisted of a “Steak Michael,” which was sautéed in a natural beef sauce with mushrooms, asparagus, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and yellow peppers. A Lobster Imperial: 2 four-ounce lobster tails and crab meat, sautéed in a white cream sauce, which was delicious with generous proportions.
And finally, a dish of Fried Sausage and Peppers, sautéed in a meat sauce with spaghetti, also in a meat sauce.

That, along with a nice bottle of Montepulciano D’Abruzzo wine, and two bowls of steamed clams, which were only $5.00 a dozen on special, made for a delicious evening, along with a lively conversation peppered throughout.

Despite being extremely busy, even for a 6 o’clock reservation on a Wednesday night, the service, largely performed by a coterie of young women who were very professional and quick, came quite rapidly and efficiently. Everyone was friendly, cordial and professional. I wondered why so many people were there mid week. The reason was that they have a periodic special on Wednesdays with steamed clams, which again were a bargain at only five dollars a dozen. Highly recommended. Buon appetito!
