People are still talking about the cornucopia we had for Thanksgiving. Very reasonably priced and as always, the best chocolate we’ve ever experienced. The horn was sugar free.

We celebrated our anniversary with a fondue platter here and it was amazing! The chocolate was delicious and all the dippings were fresh! We loved the potato chips, would never have thought to do chips! So yummy! Upon leaving they gifted us a beautiful “happy anniversary” chocolate! Thank you Morkes! ❤️

I highly recommend Morkes Chocolates Cedar Lake for all your chocolate needs. It is locally owned, with a variety of delicious sweets; many that change by the holiday or season. You should definitely stop in regularly to see what’s new, from Valentines Day chocolate covered strawberries to chocolate Easter bunnies and Easter baskets, to summer loving Dole Whips, to holiday gifts. In addition to the gorgeous shop, there is a party room perfect for kids birthday parties, team building events, and school fundraisers. Adults can partake as well, with packages for fondue parties (think ladies nights!) Our first visit to Morkes was inspired by a walk-in event to allow kids to make their own chocolate. We were directed to the party room, and the staff was friendly, organized, and patient. My kids enjoyed themselves, and the chocolate was delicious. Mark, the owner, stood out to me. He was interacting with many members of the community and helping manage an influx of people who came in for the event. We spoke a bit about the history of the store and brand. He was very kind and took great pride in the beautifully decorated store.

I booked a fondue party at Morkes Cedar Lake for a church group. Booking was very easy, I got an actual person on the phone rather than trying to work with AI, & Mark, the man I booked over the phone with, was very personable and accommodating. The day of the party, Mark came out to greet us and explain everything. The party was really nice. Staff members came in to check on us frequently, but not so much that they were interrupting. The chocolate was beyond delicious. I’m in love! The store was nice and clean, beautifully decorated, and smelled wonderful. I decided to buy Easter goodies for my children while I was there because their chocolate was so good. I’d give Morkes Cedar Lake 10 stars if I could.

The owner and staff were incredible to work with! My daughter’s birthday party was so much fun, the girls working the party were great with the kids. They had so much fun, and all of the treats they got to take home have been delicious! I highly recommend having your child’s winter birthdays here!

I think they should have the prices of items more visible and transparent. The price was not commensurate to the quality. A lot of the items tasted like vanillin was used instead of pure vanilla. The only thing that tasted pretty good was the sugar free chocolate, ironically the most reasonably priced.

I got Amaretto truffles, Hazelnut truffles, Boudreaux truffles, Lemoncello truffles, Grand Mariner truffles and French Cream both dark and milk. I’m happy with my choices and they are high quality.

This place is just what Cedar Lake needed! The birthday party room is such a wonderful touch, and the atmosphere is pleasant. There’s such a large selection of chocolates, it was hard to pick just a few!

Ordered chocolate strawberries for a baby shower coming up 9/14/25 talked to a gentleman on the phone to confirm he was so nice and helpful if the strawberries taste as good as the service highly recommend. Happy my daughter ordered the chocolate strawberries from here!
