Service 5/5
Ambience 2/5
This barbecue restaurant was on my list for months. Now that I was in the area I finally decided to check it out. Sadly, many items on the menu were not available. The original macaroni and cheese was absolutely disgusting. It was so watery literally 50% water no cheese. There was only cheese at the top. It didn’t even stick together. Not to mention it lacked flavor. Not even salt and pepper. You know it’s bad when a three year-old refuses to eat it. The pastrami short ribs 3/5. The coleslaw and fries were surprisingly good. The smoked chicken was ok once you added their in-house sweet bbq sauce. I will not be returning or recommending this place because of that but also they have some sort of plumbing issue a possible leak that is not being addressed. As the restroom smells like mold. Not to mention due to the set up of the restaurant a burst of cold air will hit you every 2 to 5 minutes due to the door being open so you’ll have to wear your coat while dining or freeze.
On a positive note, the entire team is very friendly. My waitress was amazing. The host was kind so was every employee we came across.
We weren’t checked on at all during the meal and didn’t enjoy the cold air every few minutes from the door which will effect every table except those around the corner I imagine
The buffalo wings were hands-down my favorite dish — perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The mac & cheese was creamy and comforting, while the steak and chicken were both cooked well and satisfying. The collard greens could’ve used a bit more seasoning for my taste, but overall, the food was enjoyable. I’ve been to a lot of BBQ spots around the country, so I tried to keep my expectations neutral, but Morgan’s definitely holds its own.
Drink-wise, I absolutely loved my frozen margarita — refreshing, flavorful, and perfect for the atmosphere.
Speaking of the atmosphere, it was just right: lively but relaxed, with a great outdoor vibe. I enjoyed being in the mix of everything while still feeling like I had my own space.
I’d definitely come back — especially for the wings and margaritas!
The atmosphere was chill, service was friendly, and the portions were generous. If you’re craving good BBQ at a solid price, this place is definitely worth checking out. I’d be back for sure!
This might seem like a small mistake, but for a first-time customer, it really leaves a bad impression. When you’re paying for something specific — especially comfort food — it’s frustrating to not get what you asked for. Attention to detail matters, and this kind of mix-up makes me hesitant to order again.
The first time I’ve been to Morgan’s before the fire they were spot on delicious now yesterday when I went, the food was good, but it was a little dry, the meat wasnt tender as I thought it should’ve been, but I’m not giving up on them. I’m gonna go back. Maybe they just had an off day But please do try.
