How this place is not booming with customers is beyond me. This is the most authentic and flavorful Mexican food I have had north of Texas, eating felt as if I got transported back to 2000s Mexico, especially considering the atmosphere. If I ever travel back to South Carolina, I will for sure come back here.

I have eaten here plenty times before and I think due to the place now becoming more popular it is getting kind of care less with the food.I ordered pozale soup which was supposed to be a beef and hominy soup and it taste burnt and it had pork in it like they ran out and tried to compensate it with whatever soups they had. I also ordered chicken tenders and fries and steak tacos.Those were both fine for my family.

Food was ok in flavor, sent me to bathroom right after. Went to restroom and it’s falling apart, door wouldn’t even lock. Dirty, bad presentation, lady at front of store was acting jittery and kept hearing her tell her guy to keep an eye on the people at store so they wouldn’t steal, my family and other people there were just eating. Store area looked like it was dollar tree store but dirtier and messier. Hours later and my stomach still hurts. Very expensive too.

10/10 recommend the chilaquiles Verdes. Don’t be fooled by the entrance, the food inside the store is delicious. We were also met with great service and that always makes the best dining experience. They didn’t have the chuletas (pork chops) my husband wanted but they were still able to find him a substitute that was similar and he thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely will return.

EVERYTHING is good!!! if you’re looking for authentic Mexican, this is THE place. Family owned and operated. These people are so humble and take pride in the food they prepare.

I had three different tacos and they were all good even though the lengua was a little fatty. Friendly customer service but I have had better tacos for less money at food trucks but that doesn’t mean I won’t have them again here. I might try the fajitas next time
