This place has gone downhill drastically. At one time it was our go-to for Mexican, but no more. Our last visit was months ago because the food tastes the same way it smells when you walk in…like bleach. We figured we’d give it another shot and again were very disappointed. First chip and bite of our entrees tasted like bleach. Especially the salad. Envision putting a cleaning rag full of bleach in your mouth. Not sure if the tortilla based items are absorbing the strong smell or perhaps the cleaning supplies are kept too close to the food.

Another issue as other’s have mentioned is how stingy they’ve become with salsa. You get one small container of red and green. Anything more you’ll pay for. We certainly don’t expect to walk out with an abundance of salsa but enough for at least the meal isn’t asking for too much we feel. We never experience this at any of the other Mexican places when we order carry out.

They have become very over priced for sub par food.

Needless to say this was our last meal here. We will not be returning.

For some reason I was able to order on grub hub and when I went to pick up my food they said they didn’t have the order. They said they don’t do grub hub. So I stood there for awhile by the counter seeing if they were trying to figure out the order or not because they guy just mumbled stuff about grub hub and then ran away to help someone else. I ended up asking someone else about the order and he said we don’t have it, you have to cancel it on grub hub. What was really irritating to me was there they didn’t clearly state “we don’t have your order, we don’t have grub hub. I’m so sorry”. No asking if I wanted to order food or anything. So I just left and I won’t be back. The service I received was very lacking.

Food is good. We eat here often. They have a hard time answering the phone for takeout so we started dining in more than takeout. Tampiquena plate is excellent and costs $17.95. Steak Fajita plate is excellent and costs $18.99. Fish and chips is $12.99

23$ for a burrito and a tiny salsa. If you want another one it’s more money. Foods are good but took forever and for the price not coming back. Update: THE SALSA TERRIBLE, it literally ruined the whole dish. I don’t even know how there is business.

We were rudely kicked out when we brought our service dog in!!! I will be calling the city!!! He said bc my dog didn’t have a vest on he was not allowed. He also asked for documentation. It was so embarrassing having to be walked out and be treated like this!!! Get your employees and restaurant educated!!!!! And he said he was the manager!!!! It is illegal what happened and a formal complaint will be filed.

We usually frequent the one In Queen Creek. Never really had any issues there This one was quite the opposite. We had to seat ourselves, which is OK and the table we ended up choosing was dirty, Yet three other employees were just standing around talking, when they should’ve been cleaning up the dining room. It took forever for us to get a server and when he brought our drinks, I ordered an iced tea. My wife ordered a water. He brought us a Pepsi and a water. After realizing his mistake, he said he would go get us another one, but then he proceeded to stop at two other tables before he brought my wife’s water to her. Just very lackluster service here, the food wasn’t as good either… I got the seafood chimichanga. My wife got the Pollo fundito , which was made a little bit differently than the one in Queen Creek. My chimichanga was very skimpy on cheese on top of it and inside and was mainly rice. We definitely will not be back to this restaurant as it was kind of lackluster food and poor service along with a dirty dining room *** Also a note to the owners ***why do you have one server covering the entire dining room? This hardly seems fair to the server and I’m sure his or her tips are reflected in the poor service they give.

Service was sub par. I felt like we were more of a nuisance than a paying customer. Our food came out fast but the chicken chimi and fundido were not good. The pollo fundido literally looked like they put to old slices of cheese on top and melted it. The chicken was bland as well as the refried beans. The Sonoran dog on the other hand was quite good. None of us are interested in returning to this place. If they don’t improve their service and quality of food they won’t be in business for much longer.

If you’re craving solid, flavorful Mexican food in Queen Creek, Moreno’s is the spot! The atmosphere is warm and inviting—feels like you’re walking into a family gathering every time. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely seems to care about your experience.

The chips and salsa hit the table quick and are always fresh. As for the food? The carne asada is perfectly seasoned, the enchiladas are smothered in rich, flavorful sauce, and the burritos are massive—definitely come hungry. They also do a great job with their house margaritas—nice kick without being overpowering.

Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the menu has something for everyone, whether you’re into classic comfort dishes or want to try something more unique.

It’s not a fancy place, but it doesn’t need to be—it’s all about good food and good vibes. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
