Moreno’s Mexican restaurant started as a hot dog cart in 2006 on the corner of Broadway and Horne in Mesa, AZ selling our award-winning Sonoran Hot Dogs. We rented space on the corner in order to have the cart there, and 2 years later bought the building that was there and demolished it. We then rebuilt it to become our first brick and mortar restaurant. We are family owned and operated. Our second location was opened in Chandler on Arizona Avenue, then San Tan Valley on Combs Road, followed by our latest addition in Chandler on Gilbert Road. We hope to have more locations opening in the future, so please check back and also follow us on Facebook for updates. Thank you for visiting our website and we look forward to serving you soon.
Basic counter-serve branch of a local chain with Sonoran hot dogs & other south-of-the-border eats.

Reviews
Food here was very good. Some of the asada was maybe a tiny bit on the dry side but not bad. Fairly authentic Mexican flavors! The rice was spot on, just like the wife makes! My Morano Burrito (red sauce) plate was very good and had a decent kick to it. I love spicy food but if you don’t, order with caution. Portion sizes are in the “bring your appetite” category. Very generous!
Service was really good. Our waiter was on the ball for sure. He did a really excellent job of being attentive. The only negative was food auctioning… if you have read some of my other reviews, you’ll know this is one of my pet peeves. When someone brings your food out, they should never have to call it out and have their guests claim it. Especially if it’s your own server. They should be able to place the correct food in front of each person with confidence. There are simple methods that can be utilized to achieve this that take very little effort to perfect.
All in all, a nice Mexican restaurant. I was glad to have experienced it, would definitely go back.
We also you micheladas, and they tasted watered down and had too much lime in them. Mine was supposed to be extra spicy, but it wasn’t spicy at all.
Our server was very nice, but it took a long time for our food to come out. The atmosphere is pretty lame.
We won’t be going back.
Food is good. Big serving with decent prices.
