Reviews
We ordered the burrata pizza, ravioli verde, mille feuille cacio pepe, and finished with the pistachio choux for dessert, everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavor.
Portions are on the smaller side, but the quality and presentation are outstanding. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.
We are not from Quebec, but if I comeback one day I’ll definitely go to this place or at least recommend it for friends and family.
I had the most wonderful experience dining at Mora and was taken care of by Dely.
We had made a reservation for the bar side as that was all I saw available at the time. Upon arrival we asked if there were any tables open and we were seated on the second level.
Dely, our server was exceptional, knowledgeable and attentive. He provided a great run down on the menus, answered any questions we had, took his time with our service and provided great recommendations which made the night all the better.
This is a 10/10 in my books for a romantic date night with your special ones.
Bonus points for the very charming dessert menu on a can of tomatoes!
I’d highly recommend and will return upon my next visit to QC
We were walking down Grand Allee during the winter time and I saw the domes outside the restaurant and thought it would be a fun experience to have dinner in one! I went online and booked one. It was fun to be able to eat “outside” during the winter time. The dome was very comfortable, they can adjust the temperature and the lighting in it. They also provide blankets in case someone gets cold.
Our server was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the wines. Very attentive with everything.
The food was great! We had the following dishes:
Burrata: it was interesting, it was ok
Bucatini ai funghi e foie gras – this was excellent. We like mushrooms so we really enjoyed this dish.
Mezzelune all’aragosta – this was so good, it was basically pasta with a lobster bisque as a sauce, topped with large shrimps.
Rigatoni al coniglio – this was good, nothing exceptional, I would pick a different dish next time.
The inside of the restaurant looked real nice.
Overall we enjoyed our experience!
Booked this restaurant on a whim while in Quebec City to see the German Christmas markets and so glad I did. The entire service staff were attentive, friendly, and full of excellent recommendations. All of our dishes tasted great, came out quickly, and with generous portions. All the food at the tables around us also looked amazing. Even with a lot of other diners in the restaurant, it was never too noisy (kudos to whoever designed those acoustics) and we never felt neglected. Even the bathrooms looked like they were planned with care and attention, so you know they care about all the little details with the food and service as well. Discovered that they also had a number of outdoor domes that you could book, will have to remember that for next time. I would happily eat here any day of the week. It’s the kind of restaurant that you’d take your mother too to impress her, but won’t break the bank. We had 2 mains, 2 desserts, and a drink, and it was only a little over $100 which we found to be very reasonable for the portions, service, and quality.
What really made our visit stand out was the service. Charlie, our server, was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the meal. She made sure we were comfortable, explained the menu well, and checked in at just the right moments without being intrusive. Her excellent service truly enhanced our overall experience.
The lamb left a lot to be desired. The jus was flavourful but the meat was almost bland and not worth the price. I would give them one more try, possibly the pasta.
