We had a Christmas party for 22 people in December 2025. We opted for the first time to let Moose smoke the Turkey for us. That was a wise decision. The turkey was the most flavorful we’ve ever had. We did not have to worry about whether the turkey was done or about having guests waiting on us. Moose saved us a huge amount of time. Everyone enjoyed the meal. We also learned that if you smoke a 22 lb turkey, it only weighs about 15 lbs after smoking. In the future, we would choose 22 lbs and another 15 lbs for that many guests.

We tried Moose’s BBQ for the first time today. We loved it!!! I had the pulled pork and burnt ends with cole slaw and baked beans. The meat was tender and flavorful, the beans had a little heat at the end, it was good! Oh, I can’t leave out the cowboy bites, OMG! If you’re in Gardner, and you’re in the mood for BBQ, this is your place, no need to leave town. The only down side is their hours. Th-Sat 11a-7p. We will be back!

It was our first time here and we asked the folks working for recommendations. It did not disappoint. My tween daughter had the ribs dinner with fries, and Mac & Cheese. She is a snobby BBQ eater and she devoured her meal. I had the two meat platter with burnt ends, jalapeño sausage, baked beans and potato salad. The burnt ends might be my favorite in the KC area they were really good. The beans are definitely my favorite from the area.

Fantastic bbq today! Stopped for Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage and Burnt Ends and wow those were great! Juicy, tender, Smokey flavor and everything else.
We will be back! This place needs a standing restaurant as it beats a lot of the other smaller bbq joints in Joco by a mile.

Traveling through KC and hubbie wanted to try KC BBQ. This place did not disappoint except for my fries being overcooked. But I still gave 5 stars because from the tender fall of the bone ribs , the pull pork & cole slaw to the tangy bbq sauce this was some good eating. Generous portions and there’s plenty leftovers. I prefer to sauced my own and they accommodated me with plenty of sauce.

We recently Hired Moose & Angela to cater an 50th wedding anniversary for my folks. They made suggestions when placing the order did follow up during the weeks leading up to the day… handled a few last minute specialty request and knocked it out of the park!!! The food was the talk of the event and still is buzzing… Did I mention they did all this on a zero degrees morning yes freezing temps and not one complaint or missed issue…. If you have not got mossed up yet what are you waiting for? Burnt ends and sausage were to die for.
