Cougar Gold Biscuits and Gravy Absolutely Amazing!
I tried the Cougar Gold biscuits and gravy this weekend and ended up coming back for the exact same meal the next day because it was that good. The flavors are incredible hearty, rich, and perfectly balanced. Hopefully I can call in an order when ski season starts, because this will be my go-to stop on the way through Dayton.
While they prepared our food, we even got some Christmas shopping done the store has a cozy small-town charm with great gifts and décor.
A definite must-try if you’re anywhere near Dayton!

Without a doubt the best apple fritter my husband and I have ever eaten. If you love apple fritters, you must stop at Moose Creek Bakery in Dayton, WA. Be sure to ask if the fritters were baked fresh today, as they are so much better the first day.

We love this cafe. The baker goods are always excellent and very popular. So order early before they run out. The menu is always good with homemade meals. The gift shop is very nice. I just love coming here. And there is a nice thrift shop down the street where we like to go and browse.

Talk about one of the absolute best filled donuts on earth! If only this was custard filled. This bakery definitely doesn’t half step on filling and every other bakery in the world should take note. Bite into one of these and gobs and gobs of filling will find you and messy all over the hands good! Award winning if you ask me! Never experienced such and amazing good donut! Not one of those bite in and wonder where the drop of custard is.
I’d love one of these full of custard but they said they were filled with buttercream so I tried one and my goodness, talk about a frosting filled donut.

This place is a must stop shop for your bakery wants and needs. This business is so much more than a bakery, but that is all we purchased while we were there. There is also a restaurant, and they sell a potpourri of gift items as well.
The bakery goods were amazing, and trust me, you will have trouble deciding among all of the choices. But, whatever you choose you won’t be disappointed.
The staff are incredibly warm and friendly. You will quickly feel like a part of the community.
Wishing I lived here so we could take full advantage of this place.

I dine at the Moose Creek Café & Bakery every time that I am in Dayton, which is at least bi-weekly. You will never have a better deli sandwich in your life! The bread is soft and delicious. It’s clearly baked in-house and something you could never acquire at a grocery store. The vegetables are like they’ve just been picked out of a garden, the meat is not processed and so fresh and delicious! My husband requires me to bring him a sandwich home when I am over there, and he is very particular! ☺️ I am convinced they have some secret recipe to the mayonnaise and mustard they use as well! The staff is also absolutely wonderful. Five stars all the way! Oh, and PS: when they have egg salad sandwiches … .

But…I was put off by a glance from one girl to another girl when I asked for 2 containers to put our sandwiches in that we couldn’t finish.
You would have thought I asked for something of value. But those 2 nice plastic 5″ Sq containers cost them +/-$100
Instead of purchasing multiple ideas I thought were too cute, I didn’t. We up sandwiches in containers and just left.

Just passing through and needed a quick breakfast and coffee. This place has a lot of great options! The sausage, spinach, cheese frittata was excellent! They also offer eggs and omelets made to order. Coffee was very good too. They have a nice little variety store with cards, gifts, and old fashioned toys.

We happened into this bakery while traveling. We make it through Dayton at least every other month and Moose Creek is a regular stop. They have great coffee, friendly service. If you like apple fritters you need to try one. AND if you happen to make it at just the right time the pastries are warm and fluffy. My taste buds don’t have anything to compare it too! This morning I tried their frittata and it was amazing.
