Best hot chicken in Tennessee hands down. I got the X-Hot tenders they were freshly made, seasoned to perfection, juicy and lightly crispy. The fries were seasoned with paprika and brown sugar I believe. And the fried okra was hot and juicy. If you’re ever around Hendersonville I would highly recommend this place.

Step into this clean, welcoming small business and get ready for some truly authentic down-home cooking. The fried chicken is light, crispy, and cooked just the way you like it—whether you want it mild or with a spicy kick. This was our first visit, and Mr. Moore was a fantastic host—warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The chicken and fried okra were incredible—some of the best I’ve had since moving here a few years ago. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Mr. Moore—we truly enjoyed our meal!

I love fried chicken. I moved to Nashville with high expectations because of the reputation it has for fried chicken. Until this place, I’ve been kinda underwhelmed. There were good fried chicken restaurants, but i wanted LEGENDARY fried chicken. Flaky crispy coating with juicy tender meat. This restaurant is one man in a kitchen, with a “take it or leave it” attitude. Dave, the owner is a guy who puts up with no nonsense, is straight forward and has spent 14 years in one location because of passion for making his food. After trying all the fried chicken joints in the area, I’m comfortable saying that this was my favorite in the region. I will definitely be back.

I’m extremely confident this is absolutely the best hot chicken in town. I’ve tried numerous places, including the “big two.” The hot chicken was perfectly cooked. Juicy on the inside and crispy breading that didn’t get soggy or burnt. The hot seasoning is just perfect. Everything is made fresh and to order. Meaning, you should probably call ahead or expect a wait. It seems a lot of reviews misconstrue the owners straightforward attitude with being rude. I took everything as it was. He was very clear about how his business runs and made great recommendations based on that. Who’s going to have better insight and provide better tips than the owner? I found him to be super nice, welcoming and funny. I highly suggest you ignore any post about the owners “attitude” and instead give it a try. Great food, great experience. Full recommendation!

Really excellent hot chicken! We got a leg & butterfly shrimp, which came with hush puppies. Both were delicious! We opted for hot, which was plenty spicy & we like spicy food. Fried okra & coleslaw were also fantastic. Highly recommended!!!

I make it a point to try and visit at least one Hot Chicken place whenever I’m in the Nashville area. On a recent visit to the area I decided to hit up one of the places I had on my list for a while, Moore’s Spicy Fried Chicken in Hendersonville. Moor’s has been around for years and many a Hot Chicken Fan has visited this place. Moore serves up freshly made Fried, Hot, Spicy and Mild Chicken as well as Smoked Brisket and some other favourites. During my visit to Moore’s iI just happened to be served by one of the owners/founders of Moore’s. We had a great conversation talking about Hot Chicken, its history, and places that have come and gone. To keep things simple since it was lunch, I ordered a breast with medium spice and crinkle fries. My chicken was made from scratch and it took about 20 minutes for the whole process. When I received my chicken it was HOT, juicy, tender and fresh and with the perfect amount of crispiness.
Even though In ordered my chicken mild, I was still wiping sweat off my face while I ate my meal. it was a very good Hot Chicken meal and one of the best I’ve had in a while. If you are a fan of Hot Chicken, check out Moore’s for yourself !!!

Hot, delicious, Nashville chicken. Honestly the best and most authentic chicken you can get in Nashville. It’s hot, flavorful, juicy, crispy and absolutely delicious. The sides are delicious and filling. I’ve been to Bolton’s, Prince’s and Hattie B’s and this place is simply better tasting and more authentic.
Mr Moore (the owner) is very friendly and gave us great service. There’s free parking but you might need to call to place your order. If you’re looking for hot chicken, come here. If you’re looking for the place Nashville locals go for hot chicken, come here. It’s worth it.
