Classic Eastern style BBQ with that familiar Southern comfort touch. If vinegar based pork is not your favorite, there are still plenty of other tasty options. The fried chicken is consistently juicy and the Mac and cheese is pure comfort. The team working here is warm and welcoming and the service is always quick. A dependable spot for a satisfying meal.

Visited while in Emerald Isle for an overnight stay. Maybe it was because we got there about an hour before closing, but I don’t think we will be back. I’ll just be exacting and not use excessive language here (going against my very nature) to describe the items we ordered:
The banana pudding was fine, standard fare. The potato salad was very mushy and tasted like watered down sweetness. The coleslaw was exceptionally sweet. The fries were limp. My oldest son called his puppies “mushpuppies”. The mac and cheese was bland. The pork barbecue I got was spicier than most I’ve ever had and I wasn’t asked if I wanted a sauce; normally, that would be fine, but the meat was rather dry. The baked beans were merely fine. Lastly, the tenders were pretty decent, according to my spouse and oldest son.
Our cashier was sweet and the lady who gave me the order was kind. The employees are truly the saving grace here.

Highly recommended! Visited for the first time and it was very good, big portions and their hush puppies are *chef’s kiss* amazing! The fried chicken was delicious and not dry, the fries were nice and crispy. My husband loved his sandwich too. I will definitely come back for more!

I am not big on NC bbq, but place was clean and food was hot. I had there bbq sandwich with extra slaw. The sauces in the table were great I ended up enjoying their mustard based the most. Kids eat free in Wednesdays so it was a super win! Clean restaurant and restrooms.

I recently used Moore’s BBQ to cater for 75 people at my son’s Celebration of Life. I could not have been more pleased with the service. On time, served everyone. I had the most wonderful comments on the delicious bbq and sides. They cleaned up and left without leaving a crumb anywhere! Highly recommend them!

I came here after school with a two of my friends keep in mind we are young highschool girls. We saw another group of people from our school there as well. I am slouched against the wall with my friend and I had my legs on her legs to get comfy. This lady comes over and in a rude tone goes can you not lay down and put your legs under the table (I was NOT laying down) she then later continues to watch us and stare dead at us the WHOLE entire time we were there. She then takes her headset off and come over and says when are you girls leaving are your parents coming to get you and through what door again very rudely. And the food we bought which were fries were not good and very hard. Well the group of boys our age were being obnoxiously loud and she didn’t say anything to them but said something to us for being there and “laying” down. We go there a lot and this has never happened. I think it was the manager she was like three times our age. over all the food was bad and she spoke to us rudely and stared the entire time till we left.

Moore’s was a very family friendly restaurant. The food is similar to that of Smithfield with a twist. The green beans are delicious with a slight kick. The restaurant atmosphere is also great. I will make it a point to stop there again when I pass thru Morehead, NC.

Eastern style BBQ. basic Southern style comfort food. If you’re not into vinegar based pork, you probably shouldn’t be here, but there are other choices. The fried chicken is always moist, and they have Mac and cheese. The staff is friendly and there’s always fast service.
