The fried chicken was so tender and juicy the hush puppies were hot and fresh crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside the Service is the icing on top. Devin is AMAZING! Hes polite and an expert at what he does he manages the whole dining room perfectly evreything he does is on point! The food was extremely disappointing. Had a fried chicken plate with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese with cornbread on the side. The chicken was pretty mid, the mashed potatoes tasted pretty average across the board compared to other fast food chains, and the Mac and cheese was also below other chains. Worse than popeyes and that bar is kind of low. The worst part was the cornbread. An extra three bucks for two salty thin bricks of ‘cornbread’ had me SHOOK. Lesson learned, I’m going to popeyes next time I’m craving fried chicken

Good for what it is: electric cooked BBQ. Don’t got expecting wood smoked bbq and you’ll be just fine. The side choices are good with lots of options. I enjoyed the collards and slaw with my BBQ. The hushpuppies were good and crispy.

First and last time trying out this restaurant. Bottomline, food is terrible. We spent over $90 and either threw the food out or gave it to our dogs (who had bubble guts all night, smh). On a positive note, drive through customer service was great.

Me and my husband has never been to Moores or New Bern . My husband and l was just out riding and we ended up in New Bern was are from Goldsboro NC. My husband ordered a baked white meat plate and l order a baked dark meat plate. We pull over to the side in a parking space . We looked at our food and we had a combination plate with bbq.We get back in this long line and whe we got to the window and we tried to explain to the girl at the window that we had the wrong order because neither one of us cant eat bbq. But the girl at the window wanted to argue with us. So my husband said we would like our money back. Then she said she can take the bbq off our plate. My husband was like really that should be unsanitized. She said she was a manager but refused to give us her name. This was avery bad experience for us by it been our first time every. I know that we will not be back. The girl at the window was so unprofessional and slam the window in our face.

Heard lots of good things about the revamped Moores. Sadly, it was disappointing. While the food I had was decent, it wasn’t what I ordered. Ordered two BBQ and chicken combos, one dark, one white. Instead we just got chicken. The sides were not all that great. Brunswick stew was mostly broth and the coleslaw tasted like pickle juice. Not typical for an ENC BBQ joint that I’d expect. The chicken was good as was the hushpuppies. Wish I could comment on the BBQ but I can’t. Next time I’ll ensure I get what I order before I leave.

We had our church Christmas party at Moore’s BBQ and couldn’t have been happier. We used a private room, the food came out quickly, every order was correct, and everything was hot and delicious. The servers—while all young—were outstanding: attentive, very pleasant, and on top of everything. Truly a great staff. There are a lot of great restaurants in New Bern, and Moore’s BBQ is definitely one of them—for both food and service. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

1st time there in the new spot, I order 2 take out plates of fish and shrimps with sides, asked for my fish and shrimp to be fried hard/ crunchy, got my food and left. Let’s just say the fish was soggy, bland, sides, no taste, 1st time and last and the person who took my order, not pleasant.
