Came here as a person new to New Orleans waiting on the flight. This bar had good reviews, so decided to come. I walked in saw it was quiet, so I thought maybe we walked in and weren’t supposed to I asked the lady “ hey I’m sorry, I wanted to make sure you guys were open “ she then responded rolling her eyes “yes, I’ll be in soon”. Then realizing that maybe she took my comment the wrong way my partner asked her how long they had been open with an attitude she responded with “ I don’t know ask the owner” she literally ruined our vibe and experience and was walking around miserable and unfriendly at 4:29pm. We literally got one drink and I decided not to order anything and leave because her attitude sucks. When you think of a bar you think of someone peppy and sociable, please hire better people to run the bar

We came from Lafayette to see and here CONTRAFLOW!!! It was our first time at Moonshine and the atmosphere was great!! The drinks were good and service was pleasant.

I go with my wife usually before or after going to the movies for just a bit to relax. This place is AWESOME. Great prices and what appears to be hand rolled burger patties(If they aren’t, they taste like it anyways). If you’re in the area, go here for a quick one, you will not regret it. DARREN IS THE MAN

I really enjoy this place. The food is great and they have food specials throughout the week, steak nights Monday & Friday. Also a nice setup to watch LSU & Saints games, with an outdoor stage for live music.

Bartender freely saying racial slurs at both Hispanics and blacks. A black man spoke up and was kicked out for standing up for his honor. I left immediately after that. Can’t be in a business that supports racism.

I mean this review very wholeheartedly, but the food here really SUCKS! I ordered a burger, cooked medium, and my husband ordered the eggrolls. The food came out quick, however, the food was a disgrace. My burger was cold, bread tasted like it was taken straight from the fridge, cheese was cold thrown onto the burger, and the eggrolls were literally still frozen in the middle. What a joke.

We go here on the weekends depending on what bands are playing. There is a huge outdoor stage and they are in the process of remodeling the indoor stage. This place is open 24 hours and has a great bartending staff.
