MoonShadow is the area’s only scratch kitchen. This means that we make everything in-house and have minimal freezer space. We also are the only restaurant in the area that offers brunch Sundays from 11 am – 2 pm . We use locally sourced items as much as possible and make sure that we obtain products that are organic, free-range and lack additives and preservatives. Our menu and libations change with the seasons. Try our newly opened Cafe in the front room! Open 6am-2pm daily. Reservations are not required but are strongly recommended, especially on holiday weekends. MoonShadow is also the best live music and entertainment venue in the area! Free dinner shows, open mic nights and late night ticketed shows are scheduled weekly.

I come here fairly often. Service is great. The food is usually good, but the quality is uneven. There’s a nice selection on the menu, especially if you’re vegetarian or pescatarian, but often they don’t have what’s on the menu. The plates are seriously overpriced for what you get.

Moonshadow Restaurant was a blast. Ate lunch there. Crab dip was excellent in a bread bowl. Inquired about music because they have a stage inside. Made reservations to go back later. They had a live band, Rock Creek Revival, a bluegrass band. What a great show and atmosphere! Food was good, setting was perfect, and live music was great!!

We have gone here twice so far on our visit, and plan to go again this evening for the 4th of July! We had a great server both times named Phil, and he took very good care of us! The food is fantastic! Great choices and none of us have had a bad meal so far! Also, the live music is fantastic Highly recommend!

This was my first visit during vacation! Wanted something casual but better quality food. This place did not disappoint! Sat at the bar and had Paige as our server / bartender and she was absolutely phenomenal. Knowledgeable, checked on us frequently, friendly, and all around great customer service. For dinner we had the salmon and steak & brie and for drinks had wine and a smoky marg. And of course crab dip for a starter. Everything was excellent! Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for an awesome casual dining experience.

This restaurant is unique and delightful! They have eclectic decor with an interesting piece of art everywhere you turn. Their menu was full of unusual ingredients combined in delicious ways. I tried a unique herbal tea called “Ward off Hades.” And Grapple Salad was definitely a winner! They have vegetarian options and hearty meat recipes, comfort foods and gourmet food experiences. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Great atmosphere. We really wanted to love this place. Tried to call for reservations for two days and couldn’t get through to anyone. We were seated and waited for almost a half hour before we had beverages. Appetizers and entrees took a while. Food was ok. Meat lovers omelet was good. 5 stars for service, for the graceful way the host handled a couple of entitled people who sat themselves and their giant dog at a table outside without checking with anyone and then tried to order drinks! The music seemed a little loud inside for a brunch crowd. Parking is tight but there is overflow across the street.

I was excited for this place as the menu options looked great and it had options for a variety of dietary needs. The ambiance was nice too. Came here with a group and those who ordered the burgers seemed happy. The other meals were not a good experience. I myself had the salmon and was disappointed. The salmon was very dry and the advertised seasonal vegetables were three asparagus spears. There was also no sauce or anything to tie the three elements of the meal together (rice, salmon, and veggies), the plate provided was a 1/3 empty. Perhaps they were having an off day but for a $26 meal it was disappointing. Another friend who ordered a veggie sandwich seemed to just get some lettuce with some dressing in naan. Based on the groups experience and other reviews, I would stick with the burgers.
