My family had a great experience at Moonlight Pizza and Brewpub. We ordered 4 smalls (since everyone wanted something different) thinking we would bring a bunch home. The pizza’s were so good we all tried pieces from each other and didn’t have anything left to take home. We had the T-gun, Venus, Cosmic Hawaiian, and Spicy Moon Chicken. They were all excellent but the T-Gun had top reviews from everyone. Since I’m writing the review I have to put in extra love for the Cosmic Hawaiian, take their advice and add the jalapenos and cream cheese #chefskiss. We also had the Black hole porter which was a great compliment to the different . I forgot to take pictures of the pizza because we were so busy eating it.

We did a little half day trip to Salida to walk around and check out the local shops and festival going on. We stopped here to grab a bite and couldn’t be more pleased. All the staff was super friendly, the service was great, and the food was amazing!

Vegan cheese was actually good! Ginger beer is yummy too, perfect balance of spicy and sweet. Accidentally ordered a tiny baby pizza but they made another and both were delicious.

They were super accomodating and we went in 20 minutes prior to closing (no animosity). Delicious pizza and great beers. Loved the stack of dog water bowls on the patio, chatted with neighboring tables, nice real-town friendly vibe

The pizza wasn’t bad. The crust was light and airy, but could have used a little more sauce. I do wish the bread sticks had garlic on it. The beer was good, I had the street dog. The workers were very nice and attentive.

Service was a little slow, yet the food was tasty! It was nice eating al fresco and there was a decent beverage selection too. Would definitely come back!

Love going here for delicious pizza and beer! We had the Caveman, Greek, Pepperoni. My favorite was the Greek, full of flavor and unique. It’s a very, very busy place.

Great location; open restaurant and love the patio. Parking was convenient. Menu has a variety of options- tons of sizes and toppings. Staff was very helpful (not exactly “friendly” but not mean either). We were passing through Salida and decided to stop— glad we did. Our pizzas were excellent and the beers were delicious so we took some home, too.

This brewery is the highlight of our trips to Salida. It always has incredible brews and food. You can order $2 tasters and create your own flight that way. We got six different beers to try and literally each time we tried the next, we exclaimed, “ooo, that’s my favorite!” It was hard deciding which beer we wanted a full glass of because they were all so good. We had the MOONLITE CREAM ALE, SKINNY DIPPER MEXICAN LAGER, STARGAZER HARD SELTZER, PEACH WHEAT, and a Maiboc. All were incredible.

Pizza crust was soft and doughy. Not sure where that is considered pizza, but I’m used to crispy crusts. Everything else was good. They just need better cooking techniques.
