My friend told me about Moonlight Grill and she knows her food, so I was intrigued. Very soon after, we went for dinner. I’m writing this review upon my second visit , 4 days later…lol…it was that good. The food is so yummy. Their warm hospitality and friendly attentive service makes the experience even better. I am grateful to have a new spot to enjoy. I’m a fan.

For GOOD Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food, my husband and I typically drive to Corvallis. We will not be making that drive as frequently after finding Moonlight Grill. Abdo greeted, served us, made us feel welcomed and helped us pick out the most popular dishes. I got the lamb shank, and everything about it was perfect. It came with the shank, a side salad, soup, rice, and the traditional sauces. My lamb shank would fall easily off the bone and was perfectly cooked. My husband’s plate was the beef kabab over hummus Iraqi bread. It was divine. I also ordered the Turkish coffee and it was excellent, the best one I’ve had so far. Abdo had excellent service and was quick and efficient. We will be back very soon, specifically for more lamb shank. We also had their homemade baklava which was superb. Everything here was excellent and I would 100% recommend Moonlight Grill to anyone in or out of the area looking for good Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food. It is also very affordable and big plates!!! Thank you so much, Abdo!

Other than the lights were a little too bright, the atmosphere and decorating was lovely. Food was good all around. Next time we will focus more on the uniquely iraqi food.
Super terrific staff, warm and friendly. Cheerful and engaging.

We recently dined at Moonlight grill Mediterranean restaurant and had a pleasant experience. Yay! Halal food.
For starters, we ordered the falafel, which was crispy but was mildly undercooked at the center. However, the flavors were good.
For the main course, the beef shawarma was just okay, lacking a bit of the bold flavors we expected. On the other hand, the lamb shank with rice was fantastic—the lamb was tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. It was the highlight of the meal. The soup which came along with the lamb was delicious. My wife’s favorite.
The tahini sauce, however, was a bit of a letdown as it was too watery and didn’t have the creamy consistency we typically enjoy. However, the waiter later served us with another cup of tahini which was better.
Overall, the meal had its ups and downs, but the standout lamb shank and the restaurant’s inviting atmosphere earned it a solid 4-star rating. We’d likely return to try more of their dishes.

I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch and plan to return to try other menu options. The gyro meat was moist and delicious. It tasted great with the garlic sauce and tzatziki. The garlic sauce was a great accompaniment to the rice and gyro meat. The side salad was fresh and crisp. The hummus was also perfectly prepared. We ordered at the counter and our meal arrived within five minutes.

The waiter was friendly and prompt. The food was delicious. I ordered lentil soup. It was warm, hearty, and perfectly seasoned. I also ordered the combo veggie platter. I loved the crunchy outside of the falafel and the steamy soft goodness on the inside! The yogurt sauce was great and so was the hummus. I didn’t eat the dolmas, but my husband did, and he said they were delicious. If I had to ding one thing about the food, the pita bread was not fresh. But it was well-grilled and warm. The restaurant was a little underwhelming, but it did play calm music, which I appreciated. All in all, well worth the money. I would recommend you dine in. Oh, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. Happy eating!
