There was a sign on the door closed for nonpayment. We decided to go ahead and get the one on Anderson Mill… food has definitely gone downhill sadly.

This was so good! It was my first time. And I thought that it was in a different location but when I got there they told me it had closed. When my group got there we were all kind of thinking of leaving because the parking lot felt kind of wired. I think that’s just because it was empty. But when we got there another person came in we let them order first. It started to get a little more busy while we were there. The lady at the register was so nice! She helped us decide what to get. And when she heard of my friend possibly being allergic to the breading she had she came up and offered an alternative for her but she said she was okay (because the possible allergic reaction wasnt life threatening.) but she gave suggestions for next time. She and another employee came to make sure everything was good which the food phenomenal! And we got to go box’s as well as to go drinks no problem! This is Definitely is a place to try! There’s also bar a bar and grill and something else behind it as well for another adventure! I got a burger and half french fries half tatter tots and my friend got onion rings and fries with hers which I ended up eating.
I definitely will be back in the future!

What A *GEM* – Great Atmosphere, Folks, and Food!

We were greeted by what SEEMED like the Owner (energetic, happy, and fan of their foods) but turned out that she just worked there. Talk about Culture?!

We ordered Teriyaki Chicken w Pineapple Sandwich w/ Tots and Sweet Potato Fries (yep, they let you SPLIT between two different sides!)

Chicken was perfectly cooked and they brought an extra plate (splitting) to share. (Service ) The sides were also fried perfectly.

The place was retro-looking with rock music playing softly. Little arcade for kids and great front porch. (road noise aside)

Definitely recommend this location – great authentic cooked meal awaits!

We used to love going to Moonies in Cedar Park. My kid requested Moonies for his 15th birthday lunch today.

The Leander location is sad. It is definitely a downgrade from the CP location in every way. Furniture is shabby and dirty. It doesn’t have a shred of charm.

Staff is rude. I asked if they had any non-plastic utensils for my husband to eat the salad he ordered. The response was “No we don’t. Too many people threw them away.” Mind you, there are decent plastic utensils in the world and then there are the cheapest, most useless ones like they have here.

The thing is, I get it. It’s expensive to have utensils thrown away. That’s not my fault though and I felt the response didn’t have to be so defensive and accusatory. I didn’t even ask why so I did not need that explanation in the first place. Basically the hospitality here is non-existent.

The burger I ordered was fine but they were out of sweet potato fries so that was disappointing. The onion rings were very over cooked. And there was a random sweet potato fry so that was curious.

My kid got a chili cheese dog with weird cheese that didn’t melt.

We paid $50 for three people to eat lunch and left hungry and disappointed.

Happy to see the location has found a new home. I always enjoy moonies, always have I am however on the fence about a sit down and serve location. The Menus are limited compared to what they used to have, but it might just be due to just opening. This is an old Mexican food location and not much has changed as far as appearance. The food however is excellent as always. The burgers never disappoint and their fries are always a delight, crispy and hot. The Chilli cheese fries were a little disappointing as the switched to nacho cheese as opposed to the classic shredded cheddar they used to top it with. The chicken Salad was excellent, fresh and tangy with the dressing. The gluten free bun and veggie burger were also really delicious. All in all it was a great experience, a little more expensive than previously but that’s inflation for ya, the decor is very sparse and it still feels like a Mexican restaurant, the parking entry is tricky turn down the street and pull in unless you have a truck it’s a curb not a driveway in the front. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help in anyway they can. 4.6⭐️ overall.

What a great burger! I’ve been here twice so far and the food quality has been excellent both times and service is fantastic. Wait staff is friendly and personable, and the restaurant itself is dated but nostalgic, reminiscent of the good Ole days. Don’t let the negative reviews fool you, this place is a hidden gem.

We went for lunch on a Thursday around 1pm. The owner greeted us and was friendly. They have several kinds of burgers, hotdog, chili dogs, salads, and more. They have several options for sides, fries, loaded fries, onion rings, tots, sweet potato fries, and a side salad. I got the jalapeño popper burger and sweet potato fries, and my son got the chili dog. It was huge and delicious! I prefer my burger less cooked, but the fresh jalapeños and cream cheese were wonderful!!!

It has potential…I think!!

UPDATE: Waited awhile (couple months, I think) until going back to give it another chance. This most recent visit was pleasant from the greeter, server, to the food. Because of this experience, I will be taking my family back. Keep it up!! The burgers were hot and juicy. Fries were great as always.

I was really torn about writing this review or not solely because the waitress I had two of the three times I went was AMAZING!

I must also note that I had received coupons in the mail which brought me in as well – I wouldn’t have given it two more chances after the first visit if it wasn’t for the coupons.

The positive of my first visit was the waitress was extremely friendly, sweet, and checked on us through out my visit. Fries were delicious! Chicken tenders for the kids meal were fresh and tender.
The negative of this first visit was the burger was dry (western burger) and slightly over cooked. I would still rate this first visit a solid 3 just because the waitress made it worth it!

Which brings me to my second visit. Ordered the bacon burger and the patty was delicious and perfectly cooked. The bacon, however, (see photo) was absolutely disgusting & ruined the juicy perfect “could’ve been” burger. The bacon was burnt – not crispy – BURNT! Nasty.
The waiter was decent. He was friendly enough. Chicken strips were , once again, fresh and hot for the kids meal.
This second visit would get a two star rating solely due to the burnt gross bacon that ruined such a beautiful burger. *cry*

Third visit. I didn’t want to give up because I really liked the other Moonie, but… this sadly might’ve been the last visit.

Had the same waitress as the first visit and she’s incredible! A sweetheart. She also seems very comfortable being a waitress unlike some of the younger ones, but that’s no problem in itself.

Ordered a regular hamburger this time. There was a long strand of hair on the patty of the burger *cry* !! I was so bummed. I know things like this happen, but after the last two visits and really wanting this place to redeem itself – I couldn’t feel more bummed *cry some more*. Once again, though, the chicken tenders were fresh and hot for the little one. The fries also delicious again. Unsweet tea was on point.

It’s hard to not want to go back because it’s such a convenient location for me. The waitress (I think they like to be called servers…) was so inviting 2/3 times as well. BUT! The price for burnt bacon and a hair on my burger is quite underwhelming and doesn’t really pull me back in *cry*.

We had an amazing dinner at Moonies Burgers! The food was absolutely delicious — juicy burgers packed with flavor.
Our server, Lea, was great! She was so friendly and polite, taking time to chat with my husband and me, which made our visit feel even more special.
If you’re looking for a great burger with even better service, Moonies is definitely the place to go!

Food is adequate. Certainly not at the same level as the Moonies at Anderson Mill and 183. Service is abysmal though. Orders are wrong, they never check on you and act lile they are in their high school cafeteria.

The seats are falling apart and the floors are filthy. If it was busy Id understand some dirt, but there were 5 customers and 8 employees and still the floors were filthy.

I gave it a 2 because I love Moonies Brand.

To the owners of Moonies, just shut this location down before your entire Brand is destroyed.

Had hopes for this place because we heard the food was good. Burger was ok our disappointment was with the staff did not seem to want to be there. Our onion rings and sweet potato fries came out burnt, they should have never left the kitchen. We told the staff and they remade the onion rings, they were not burnt this time but all we could taste was the burnt oil. The sweet potato fries were taking way to long and we were done eating. So asked for check. Did they take anything off for not delivering our fries, nope, staff has no clue on customer service. One and done.
