Moondog Cafe and Bakery is such a great find. The vibe is cozy and welcoming and the staff is super friendly. I had a iced matcha and a omelette, both were delicious. You can tell everything is made with care. It’s the kind of place you just want to hang out in. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Good food, nice bakery items fresh made and reasonable prices. Very friendly staff, attentive but not too attentive. The food was great, I really liked the green chili, very fresh and home made flavor. Cool local art work as well, we loved the Ravens.

What a cute place and what a yummy place. Passing thru Mancos its a must stop especially after seeing the menu. Their lemonade is soooo delicious wow! Also their bakery items , what a nice selection. The almond croissant is really good. The quiche wow . Can’t wait to go back and try lunch next time. I highly recommend especially if you’re passing thru and heading to Mesa Verde because its only a 9 min drive

We’ve been to moondog a few times and it just keeps getting better! My pistachio matcha latte was so good. The corn tortillas on the steak tacos were obviously handmade and delicious. It was bustling in there and we still received awesome service.

So happy to have them in Mancos. What a gem!

I was really looking forward to trying this place. The atmosphere and service were great. I had placed an order for takeout.

Unfortunately my order was wrong. I ordered a ham and cheese omelette, add tomatoes & onion (receipt attached) what I received was a dry spinach egg patty with no cheese, very little ham, topped with onions and peppers. I was starving & paid $16+ for this breakfast so I reluctantly ate it. The toast was also not toasted. It was barely grilled (pictures below)

My husbands order was correct & well made though. He ordered the Italian club with truffle fries.

Wow! As a Mancos local, I am so pleased at our new Moondog Cafe and Bakery.
The pastries are out of this world- the savory stuffed croissants are perfect for lunch, and the guava pastry is now my favorite. Had the best lamb burger (The Frenchman) for lunch, and for breakfast we had the Shakshuka and the Trout Benedict! Everything has been wonderful.

They are new, and there is a lot of negative comments about service – but I’ve been multiple times now and everyone is great. Give them some grace while they find their rhythm – the workers are dedicated and kind.

Absolutely go, have a delicious pastry to go or sit down for an amazing meal

Definitely coming back! Super cute inside with beautiful artwork. Breakfast menu had something for everyone and everything we ordered was great. Staff was great and kid-friendly. The baked goods were well stocked and some of the best we’ve ever had. Don’t leave without a Moon Bombe if you like chocolate (and GF!). We will be back for lunch/dinner.

Note to staff: only bummer was my breakfast tacos fell apart. Maybe double up on the corn tortillas

I was visiting a friend in Mancos who took me here two mornings for breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised by the inspired menu. There were items like shrimp and grits, which I ordered one morning and it were very good. Medium prawns, a mild spiciness and the grits freshly prepared to order. My friend had the Quiche Lorraine both mornings which she said was quite tasty.
The place is known for its bakery, and we both indulged. The cookies we bought were delicious, and all the other items in the car looked as if they would be equally so.
If you find yourself in Mancos (or the Florida Keys) I highly recommend this spot for a meal.

This place is what this town was missing. Love how they have added themed dishes based on the day of the week. Staff is genuinely friendly. Food portions are generous for the prices. Not a dinner that pops it out as you order made fresh so don’t be in a rush. As well as don’t fill up without looking into the pastry counter. Unbelievable Sweet treats for your inner fat kid
