The key word is “express,” so it has a small menu. Ordered Xiao long bao (soup dumplings), which were really good. The crab rangoons were not good at all. 100% will not get these again. Service was slow nothing fast about it

Good sesame chicken and better pot stickers, but specifically ordered from here for their photo of their chicken and broccoli. Was disappointed by what arrived and was offered a $4 refund on a $16 entree for the discrepancy.

I ordered the general jones’ wings (not spicy), beef chow fun, shredded pork/chives/tofu, and pan fried pork buns.
Everything tasted great as expected but the shredded pork was the all-star that I couldn’t stop eating. I forgot to take pictures until I already started eating.

Absolutely delicious! Everything is always good, I’ve been been disappointed with a meal there. The wide rice noodles are my favorite!!

Great food & wonderful service.
Conveniently located in the main area of Chinatown.
Many lunch specials include soup for $8-$9. Quite a good value.
Street parking (metered) available for a couple hours or lots nearby as well.

The Best place so far for the Best authentic Chinese food! I got it to go and really appreciate how my food was packaged. Makes it very easy to reheat if necessary.

Moon Palace has been and still is MY favorite “Chineese” restruant for over 25 years.
Food is consistently great, and the pot stickers are THE best!
I wish they still had a sit down restruant, but some things change

A Chicagoland staple and perennial Chinese Cantonese favorite. Established in the 80’s, Moon palace has morphed into a relevant and incredible dining experience, boasting an absolutely sick bar in the back at night. Don’t miss the dumplings!!!

I really enjoyed this place to eat. Service was quick. It was not full of people so I can comment on how it is during rush hour. But drinks and taking our order was quick. We ordered the hot and sour soup, General Tso’s Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein, and the potstickers. Everthing was really good! But be careful because everything comes oit really hot! Blow on your food. The potstickers are really big and delicious. The chow mein was a little different than expected and was the least favorite. We expected soft noodles but this chow mein was like toasted cup o noodles with the chicken, bamboo, broccoli, and sauce on top. I wouldnt order this plate again. The General Tso’s was good but I would have liked to compare it to their orange chicken.
Can’t beat their location! Right in the heart of Chinatown next the the fire station. Take your Chinatown tourist picture in front of the famous entrance gateway and then a few steps to the restaurant. It shouldn’t disappoint.

This is a really nice place to dine in. The staff might seem rude at first, but they are actually very nice and will answer any question you ask about the menu. It’s a small location and the aesthetics of the restaurant are very pleasing. The food is really good and they give out generous portions as well. Nearly everyone in our group had to get a box for leftovers. 5/5 Would eat here again.
