First time coming here & the sushi was incredible!! It’s a take out sushi spot located in the Lotte Grocery Store by the produce. My husband and I ordered 2 tuna maki rolls, 1 yellowtail, 1 spicy California roll, 1 spicy tuna roll, and a kabuki roll. They even threw in a few pieces of nigiri with our order, which was so kind & greatly appreciated. The sushi quality and the prices are both amazing. Everything was delicious, we will definitely be back.

***Limited space to dine in, this is not like the larger Lotte Store eateries in Nothern Va you may have visited. This is mostly take out with small seating area in another part of store. The sushi was good but took 20 minutes for two avacado rolls and one tuna roll to be made. Only one sushi chef working alone. They sold miso soup container but no hot water available to make soup.

Formerly Rainbow Sushi, Moolkogi is a takeout only counter located in the back of the new(er) Lotte Supermarket off rt 40. They offer an impressive variety of sushi, including nigiri, sashimi and a laundry list of specialty maki. Pricing is also very reasonable, with typical roll prices ranging from $4-8. They also offer large format catering trays, with piece counts ranging from 30 to 80 for the largest of sushi eater gatherings. On our most recent visit, we had ordered their largest maki/sashimi/nigiri tray, the Large boat for a Holiday get together. We called the order in a few days before our desired pickup date. Unfortunately, the day of pickup our order had been overlooked and was not ready for our 3pm pickup time. Moolkogi realized their error and dropped everything to get our tray made on the spot. To my surprise, the order was ready in a little under 10 minutes! Mistakes happen, but what a restaurant does to remedy a situation is what can make them shine. On top of the quick turnaround, Moolkogi included a free order of octopus salad for our trouble. The sushi quality itself was excellent. Each piece was generous in size and fish. The rice on both the maki and nigiri was perfectly steamed and held their form. The presentation was also top tier, with each piece beautifully printed on each platter. Overall, if you are in the Catonsville area and need a quick sushi fix or a party platter to go, Moolkogi has you covered!

Finally got a picture this time! Quality is top tier and ingredients are consistently fresh Definitely my new go to spot. Highly recommend!! Baked Salmon Crunchy has to be one of my new favorites. Hats off to the chef(s) thank y’all for an excellent spread for dinner!

This was my first time having sashimi at Moolkogi Sushi.
Sashimi: Exceptionally fresh, juicy, and perfectly chewy—hands down the best sashimi I’ve ever had!
Eel Sushi Roll: The balance of sweet and tangy flavors in the rice perfectly complemented the eel and sauce. Simply amazing!
The prices were also very reasonable.
I had such a delightful and happy evening! Even though it’s a bit far from home, Moolgogi Sushi will now be my go-to place whenever I crave sushi or sashimi!

Because the delivery delay, the restaurant keep my order cold and also give me a free special roll. (Rainbow roll) When I got the food, all the sushi were still fresh and delicious!!! The small pink note warmed me so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️

This place has amazing sushi for a really good price! Everything they make here is fantastic and the fish is always fresh and delicious. I’ve gotten their rainbow roll, scallop roll, dragon roll, eel roll. The owner Nate is so friendly and helpful! It is also very convenient that this sushi counter is located in the Lotte supermarket. So you can shop while you wait, call in your order, or they have fresh grab and go ready in the cases. This place is fantastic that’s why it’s my go to place for sushi again and again! 🙂
