We ordered three pastas and two appetizers. Every one of them was delicious, especially the pastas. Each one was unique and reminded me of the food in Italy. With every bite, it was full of the umami and richness of cheese, yet not too salty or peppery. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the texture of the pastas was spot on. The shrimps were also tender and juicy.

Mamma Mia, this restaurant is really good ! We have visited quite some Italian restaurants, but here the food is delicious. Alberto the waiter and the others were very attentive and friendly. We have eaten a tuna dish as a starter, that I would highly recommend. After that I had a pappardella pasta dish with mushrooms, sausage and fennel which had a rich taste! The wines are also good

Hands down might be one of the best Italian restaurants I have dined at. Our waiter was kind and passionate, and the food was cooked to absolute perfection. It is nice to see a waiter having so much pride in their restaurant’s food and for the food to actually live up to the expectations. I got the burrata & peach salad as well as the short ribs ravioli. Definitely would come back again if the opportunity presents itself.

A fantastic Italian experience in San Diego! What a wonderful time it was. Our server was very friendly, he even chose an entree for our friend and left it a surprise! The mozzarella rolls were awesome, as well as the homemade focaccia with prosciutto! Our entrees were very good, and very filling! I left here very satisfied with all aspects of my meal.

Enjoyed outside dining next to their gas fireplace. Alberto was extremely friendly and helped out with wine pairings and entree questions.
We started with the mozzarella rolls. Very tasty. For dinner we had the Roman Carbonara and Boscaiola. Both plates were completely clean by the end of our meal! The fresh made pasta was incredible! Ended with the cannoli which was rich and decadent. Will absolutely be stopping by here my next time in San Diego!

Feel compelled to leave a review. Excellent all around. Much larger than expected portions of amazing dishes. Based on reviews we had high expectations and they were exceeded on every way. Crestino al Tartufo lives up to the reviews and short rib ravioli was an outstanding complement. Finished with Torta Della Nonna and was pleasantly surprised by the gelato that the server suggested as an accompaniment. Have eaten at some outstanding restaurants in the past and rarely feel so compelled to enthusiastically recommend.
