Seating is outdoors at tables and it turns over fast. We dined around 1:15 on a Monday and there was a short line to out in our order. The line went fast and the food also came out pretty fast considering how many people they were serving from a small kitchen.
Would recommend!
Loved the
Moneys was super clean and super friendly.
I was very surprised by the variety of salsas they had!
The best thing was their fresh chips! They are definitely the best in town.
Everything was fresh and flavorful.
I live in Orange County, and might plan another trip to SB strictly for this burrito.
Flavor: 5/5
Size: 4.9/5 (can always be bigger, just ask your girl)
Fresh factor: 5/5
Salsas: 4/5 (med and hot)
Bonus points for searing 2 sides of the burrito adding a nice crispness. Also came with freshly fried tortilla chips. I’m pretty impressed and for the first time ever, not mad about paying $14.20 for a burrito.
That was worth pushing retirement back another year.
The meat options are plentiful and delicious, the tortillas are chewy and exquisite, and the chips and assorted salsas are addicting. My one piece of advice would be to order anything with their fresh flour tortilla – they are homemade daily. The only downside to Mony’s is their seating situation. The place is often crowded and you have to keep a sharp eye out to snag a table once someone gets up during the lunch hour. Nevertheless, their food is worth the hustle.
(Highly recommend the pistachio and pineapple salsas). They also have the best chips you will ever find. EVER.
Just go.
The menu is really interesting and flexible: you choose your meat (type and cooking style), then how you want it presented: taco, burrito, quesadillas, etc. They then serve your selection with some homemade salsas and nacho chips.
We chose tacos with a selection of fillings:
– Carne Asada (Roasted meat)
– Pollo En Molle (Chicken with mole)
– Rajas Con Queso (Vegetables with cheese)
– Chorizo
– Pescado (Fish)
Every one was freshly prepared and delicious – we loved them all, but the Chorizo, for me, was outstanding. The salsas were also excellent. All served with a smile. We loved it!
