The queso and fresh guacamole were both delicious, and of course I had to try a beef taco (my go-to at any Mexican restaurant) it definitely hit the spot. I add cheese sauce on top with fresh jalapeños. You’re welcome
The food was fantastic, but what really stood out was the service. Suzy was our server and she had anmazing recommendations and went over the top with making sure we were taking care of, but everyone was so kind and attentive, it just made the whole experience even better.
Highly recommend — can’t wait to go back! ✨
I was the one sitting at the bar on Dec5 when the African-American couple came to the bar and was not seated. This was due to nothing more than the lack of chairs. The restaurant and servers were very busy and the people that were sitting at the high top tables behind the bar had taken all of the bar size chairs from the bar except for the one I was sitting in. A previous post stated that the bar was empty except for one person, but didn’t mention that there were no chairs for them to sit in. When asked, management told me that the Caucasian couple had come in first, I will not bear witness something that I didn’t see but they did walked to the bar shortly after the African-American couple had walked away. They still had no chairs, but this time one of the bussers had just walked up with a chair that he found while searching in the Back. The lady that just walked up sat in the chair while the man stood there at the bar next to her. The manager then went and found another lone chair at the front of the restaurant . As soon as the man sat in the chair, I saw the African-American man come by to see them sitting there where there were no chairs before. If I put myself in this man’s shoes and everything was reversed, I might also think that was a racist moment. however, what I saw was just a difference in the series of events that happened when each couple came to the bar and not intentional bias to anyone. If they had been there a few minutes later, they would have gotten the same seats. I could see this happening just the same way if this were two couples of the same race. It just happened to be different races and is chalked up as racism. If it weren’t involving two different races, it would’ve just been “ why did you sit them before me?”
I personally have known this server and have been served by her at two different restaurants over a period of 20 years. If you truly knew her, you would regret the accusation and you would know that she is quite the opposite. She is very caring of all people and if she thought someone was being racist to you she would be the first one standing up for you. I hope this will help give the person who wrote the previous review a different perspective of the events that unfolded. I also hope they will revisit the restaurant and have a much better experience.
Myself and my husband walked back to the host stand.. as we were being seated we saw the manager bring 2 chairs to the Caucasian couple that came in after us literally 30 seconds after had been denied a service. In 2025 it’s absolutely ridiculous to go into an establishment and feel that they only cater to their caucasian guests. As we looked around we were the only African American guest in the restaurant.
We were extremely offended!! Not because we were the only African American guest, but because we had been denied seating and the Caucasian guests were allowed to be sat where we had asked to be served.
It’s was obvious that she denied us because we were African American, because the entire bar area was only Caucasian guests.
When I noticed what was going on. I spoke to my server, explained the situation. He apologized and I asked to speak to the manager. The manager came I explained to him. He apologized and offered us a discount. We are two hardworking tax payers. We don’t need or expect handouts especially to cover up blatant racism. We explained how offensive it was and told him we were leaving. I explained to him we drove all the way from Buford Dr. to come and have a Margarita because I had told my husband how good they were because I been the on several occasions after work, so I wanted him to try it. I was so disappointed in the way we were treated. I’ve tipped this particular bartender GREAT on every occasion that she had served me.
I can honestly say we appreciated the manager’s apology, and the great service given by the server we had.. We drank, ate paid our tab, tip the server $20 because he was GREAT.. but, I can honestly say you all have lost a valuable customer. I will not ever go back to sit at the bar especially if she is working! I may not ever return to your establishment honestly.
