good service and food , my son had the breakfast taco super , that sucker was huge ! and I had the carne guisada super yummy. Hidden gem in New Braunfel as my son lives like 5 minutes away and I wanted some real breakfast . Tea was good as well . Tortillas was super yummy as well .

Monterrey Cafe is an okay little place. The food was is just alright nothing special, but their the salsa had a nice flavor to it. I enjoyed what I ordered, but the portions were on the smaller side and I left still feeling a bit hungry. The service wasn’t very friendly either which was a little disappointing. It’s an okay spot if you’re nearby but I probably wouldn’t make a special trip.

Very disappointed. First time here. I got home and was very disappointed.. Smallest tacos I’ve ever had. My potato, bacon and cheese taco had only 3 pieces of potato ♀️ very little egg on the bacon and egg taco!! If you’re looking for real tacos this is not the place!!

Monterrey Café is truly a prime “hole-in-the-wall” gem! My family and I stumbled upon it while driving down the highway after finding it online, and I’m so glad we did. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and made with love you can taste in every bite. The service was just as impressive, friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Sometimes the best places aren’t the big flashy restaurants, but the hidden spots like this that make you feel at home. Definitely worth the stop!
