Wow! What a hidden gem! We came here for our anniversary and were not disappointed. Very unique environment and very high quality food cooked to perfection. Tortellini Oreste with scallops was perfect. My wife had Chicken Marsala and she said it was very good as well. Can’t recommend this place enough. The best Italian restaurant in town.

Taste Italy inside of the Monterosso express! It was a great dinning experience, we paired our meal with an elegant wine and enjoyed our night. Staff was amazing and on point the whole night! Monterosso’s is pretty okay. They don’t have an online reservation system, so you need to call and leave a message or after 3:30. It’s a tight space, antique train car, which is nice. The problem: many people who walk on board and turned away because they are booked up and these people have no choice, but to be in your personal dining space due to the the narrow walkway. They should put a sign outside letting people know reservation only, booked for the night to avoid this issue.

We waited 10 minutes outside for a table to be set. They forgot us. Once in, a server came to take our order twice, followed by another server asking for our order. Once everything was sorted out, we had an EXCELLENT meal and an additional meal to take home.

Great food and atmosphere. Staff is excellent. Very helpful and nice. Plenty of menu options too. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the portion size. Increase portion size without raising price and it’s a sure 5 star.

Have always wanted to eat here, celebrated my birthday with dinner. Absolutely delicious!! The house salad with a blueberry vinegrette made my taste buds dance. Veal parmesan was amazing and perfect. The candle on my cheesecake was a sweet touch. Thank you for everything. Will definitely return.

We came here on a recommendation but won’t be back as we were disappointed with the food. My wild mushroom capellini came out without the garlic, butter and wine sauce and they apologized and made me up some. The mushrooms and prawns were pretty bland. The tiramisu was delicious but a little frozen in the middle. The Bolognese had very little meat in the red sauce. The service from our server was great, but sometimes sparse – there was only one person working front of house. Might be a little more put together on the weekends.

The restaurant is in an old railroad dinning car. It’s an old fashioned Italian-American dinner. I had a salad and smoked salmon capellini for lunch. The salad was basic and small but the tomato slices and lettuce fresh and it was perfectly acceptable. The capellini had a nice creamy sauce and full flavor salmon. The only thing missing was some small carrots or veggies.
