Staff was attentive. The cream spinach was wonderful and the green beans tasted like the garden is out back. My fiancee had the filet and I had the ribs. The steak was cooked perfectly at a nice medium rare. The ribs were good, not great but I cannot say I was disappointed. The barbecue sauce had a little kick which and most definitely add to the experience. We had a couple of drinks from the bar, a mojito mule and a Moscow mule in both of those were fabulous. Overall great place to eat a little noisy but that’s what you get when the place is very busy. Overall I would say this place is a definite a stop that I would make again on my way through Great Falls Montana.

The service was great and the food was solid. The atmosphere is very generic but nice. I ordered a ribeye medium rare, but it came out medium-medium well. I HATE sending food back but I was pretty bummed when I took a bite. However, this was a chance for the staff to shine. They promptly and politely got me a new steak. It was delicious. If we’re back in Great Falls, we’ll stop in again.

A wonderful place to eat. Great food, drinks, and staff. Everything was top notch and professional. Clean and organized. I ordered the lemon pepper salmon and it was absolutely perfect.

This place was recommended to me by a couple of people while I was on a Buisness trip in great falls. The vibe was so chill and comfortable. I’d never sat on a more comfortable seat at a restaurant at least not that I could remeber. The service was amazing all the servers helped each other out which is a rare sight to see. Drinks were always filled and never felt forgotten.

When they first brought out my stake it was slightly overdone. The server looked at the first cut to make sure it was right and she suggested to send it back. Great service! I sent it back and when I got it back it was perfect and so delicious.

Would not recommend the Mac and cheese. For as nice as a restaurant this, the dish was severely underwhelming.

Overall my wife and I had a wonderful time and when I’m over there again I’ll be sure to have dinner there again.

I had an incredible dining experience at Montana’s Rib and Chop House! The baseball cut top sirloin steak was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. Paired with the perfectly seasoned wild rice, it made for a truly satisfying meal.

To top it all off, the carrot cake was absolutely delicious—moist, flavorful, and the perfect sweet ending to an amazing dinner.

The service was fantastic, with friendly and attentive staff who made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Montana’s Rib and Chop House for anyone craving great food and excellent service. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

I’d like to preface this review with the note of, I myself have worked nearly every shift in a restaurant besides bartender. I am aware that we as the guest dont know the 1/2 of whats going wrong or right when it comes to our meal/experience. So I do feel like I am fairly forgiving when it comes to most situations.
So tonight is my Husband’s birthday. His parents flew in from out of state and took us out to dinner. He had called and made reservations for us days in advance with no issue. Even having to change the time at some point. When we get there, a few minutes early, we’re told it’ll be just a moment that theyre cleaning up our table. No problem. I tell my husband I’m going to be pretty disappointed if we’re sat at the dirty table right by the door. Which we were. Even though we gave them a heads up we got sat in one of the worst spots in the dining area. Ok fine, it is what it is. I’ll keep my jacket on and be distracted by all the incoming guests all night. Our waitress is fine, shes kind and does her job. When taking our dinner order I let her know I’m a vegetarian so I’d just like some mashed potatoes and chefs choice on some veggies grilled up please. This is my go to at places like this for decades. And this establishment is the first one unable to accommodate this request. So I had to order the side of mashed potatoes, a side of broccoli and the carrot souffle. Ok fine, I find it pretty disappointing but I can deal. Then when our meals are served, all the steaks are served on their own plates…. Ok? Idk if thats something special but it certainly looks very lackluster. And then my “meal” is 3 tiny dishes, I was going to take a photo so I could show you guys how stupid it looked but I didnt want to bring vibe of the meal down, so hopefully my family can enjoy it and I’d just grab some tacobell on the way home. Anyhow their carrot “souffle” is just sweetened mashed carrots. They’re tasty but using the word souffle is a bait and switch as they do not nearly have the consistency of a souffle at all. So my meal felt like a 1/2 cup each of 2 kinds of mash and some broccoli. Sure I could’ve got the Caesar salad but by god I just wanted something warm since we were sat next to the cold front door.
I will say my martini was good, not great but I was happy to have the Bleu cheese olives to eat so I had some semblance of diversity and flavor.

We should’ve went to cattlemans, probably wouldnt recommend this place and I doubt I’d ever volunteer to return.

Had Thanksgiving dinner there -was fantastic (though I did miss cranberry sauce)! This was my 4th time to dine at the GF Montana Rib & Chop.

The menu is pleasant and has a Southern “edginess” that this transplanted Alabama Gulf Coaster appreciates! The R&C’s gumbo was the best I’ve had since leaving the South.

I’ve had notjimg but excellent experiences at this Rib & Chop, as I did at the one in Livingston, MT (the original one), when I lived there. Great wait staff, as well. This is a nice, up-scale venue.

THE ONLY ISSUE I HAVE is the NOISE! Others have mentioned
that to me, as well –great restaurant, but unnecessarily loud! Conversation is possible, but the racket is annoying. Black acoustical panels, hidden up in the ceiling, would make a world of difference in the uncomfortable decibel level of the reflected din. With the noise, it’s not a relaxing place to dine. At their prices, I would expect a quieter atmosphere that would not require so much effort to hear my tablemates.

Otherwise, I feel it’s Great Falls’ finest dining experience. Wonderful food! But please tame the noise.

The food was amazing, and it’s rare that I ever, not go hoe with 75% of my meal in a to go box. But I ate my entire entree, only taking the huge baked potato home. Very satisfied with meal, service and atmosphere. Location is great, only 2 blocks from home and directly across from my work place. Kudos!!!!

Steak cooked to order at med rare, salmon cooked perfectly. I ordered steak with truffle butter and side of paradise sauce and lump crab. I was served a steak smothered in cream sauce and a serving of cold truffle butter, As the “chef” thought it would overwhelm the steak. Since I did not want to wait for another steak to be prepared as ordered they rinsed it off and re plated it, reheating it to med med well… I regret not just refusing it. Even before the steak was re cooked the tenderness was very lacking, I could not identify the steak as even being a rib eye as it seemed more like a chuck and not just the end of the rib portion chuck eye good, but straight roast meat.. very tough! The carrot was sweeter than grammas sweet potatoes and hard to pallet. The salmon was over salted but again cooked great. Best Cesar salad I’ve enjoyed in along time thanks to the delicious fresh made dressing and fresh parm. This was my second time at rib and chop both times steak was underwhelming and certainly not worth the price. The service was absolutely top notch! Wasn’t charged for the crab but I feel very disappointed to have accepted such low quality steak from a steak house! Hey at least I got a ramekin of truffle butter to put on a nicer cut of meat from Walmart!

We started off with the crab and mushroom appetizer, and it was absolutely delicious! For our main course, we tried the chicken fried chicken with the carrot souffle, and it was amazing! The scallop shrimp Alfredo was fantastic too. And don’t even get me started on the desserts – the crème brûlée and carrot cake were to die for! I can’t say enough good things about the service; Charice was so wonderful, kind, and truly made us feel warm and welcomed. If you haven’t been here yet, you definitely need to check it out; it’s such a treat!
