Still one of my favorite restaurants. Been coming here since they opened decades ago! The cheddar fries are amazing. We got the fried Buffalo chicken sandwich and the Texas style hamburger. Others got the chicken fried steak. It is always excellent. Highly recommend

Found this place after a graduation at Tarleton. This place is truly a great restaurant. The catfish is the best I’ve had by far. And that’s saying something growing up around a catfish farm. The salsa was super good and I had to ask for some to go. The chicken fried steak was very thick and tender and not mostly batter. I’ve you ever get to go to Stephenville look up this place you won’t be disappointed.

College graduation lunch was a great experience, first time to visit. Pulled pork was excellent I forgot BBQ sauce and none on table. The meat was moist. Tender and a lot less fat content. Trashcan nachos. Oh man. Just get them. Fabulous.

My husband’s blackened Cajun chicken meal was flavorless and tiny. My Montana gold cowboy fully loaded baked potato was cold and hard. The bowls and drinking glasses are cafeteria type. The whole place needs a face-lift everything looks real worn out. This the Stephenville Montana’s. I will find a better place to spend my money in the future.

I’ve door dashed pick up orders 2 weekends in a row and this place must think only there time is valuable because they couldn’t get your order right if the pope ordered it. Then they send you home with half the order cold because they didn’t make the entire order over as requested, no they sneak the part that was correct in but now is 1 hour cold! Service is terrible here not Texas like at all, oh! now I know why its called Montanas!
