Nice, clean, super friendly bar. Bartender Donna was so nice!! Everyone there is so friendly. They are a smoking bar, no food (but you can have food delivered, no problem), they have a couple pool tables, clean restrooms, & lots of room at bar with tables too. Great place!

Been coming here for many years live this place. Shelby and her mom are the best. So is everyone else. Great place to sit and hangout whether your day drinking or at night. Best time no drama here either. Don’t come here if you start drama cause you will leave. Great place great people

I have been coming to this lovely little place since 2006 or 07 and it is a favorite of mine when I’m in town. There is a vibe here of community that comes with a small town where folks warm up to you pretty quick if you’re nice. All the same, you can stare at your ashtray too, and no one will bother you. I talk too much, but these folks are great, and for a young guy like me at 44, I appreciate the wisdom from the military veterans who frequent the establishment. Makes you feel at home.

If you want music, they use AMI so get the app. The machine takes cash if that is more your thing, but the app allows you to skip those “Drown yourself” songs and put on Metallica. Just saying. Cool part is that it is attached to The Walnut Inn, so if you’re an OTR driver or just stopping by, a bed in the hotel is an option. There are two pool tables, tournament nights, karaoke, etc, so you can find something to relax.

Food nearby:
Gambino’s Pizza Delivers
Pizza Hut Delivers
Subway in Walmart
El Jaracho (Same Parking Area)
Flying J
Casey’s
Some Chicken Place
Hel*, Walmart has aisles of food

Point is, you have options so check it out this New Year’s if you’re in town or any other time!

I’m new to the area and was excited to find a place I could smoke in. Very welcoming crowd every time I’ve come in so far. Easy to strike up a conversation and not feel out of place

Have you ever blacked out and when you came to, you couldn’t believe what you had done? You couldn’t believe you did THAT, and you stand in front of the mirror questioning yourself. Wondering, wondering who you really are deep inside, is it a monster or a beast, an animal. What is it that makes you do THAT, contemplating what could be; you think back across the black abyss of your decisions and question if any one single thing brought you here? Or was it a collection of randomness that amounts to whatever looks back at you from the mirror. Then in solidarity and acceptance you decide to baptize this day in memory with a drink so out the door you go, stopping at a lazy little bar attached to a motel called Monroe’s. The name sake is the actress herself, the pet of JFK, with posters adorning the walls, a custom number print even. The beer is cold to drown those sorrows, or celebrate those hard fought battles, victories of flesh. A juke box that plays loud enough to drown out all the voices, wherever the come from. The inside is new and beautiful, the staff is friendly and courteous, the drinks are on point. A++++
