Good food, kind service. The chicken sandwich was very juicy and well done. The spaghetti was good with a lot of meatballs. The brown gravy was delightful. My only this is that their photos in the menu are not appealing as they actually made me feel ill looking at them, also, the food is pretty pricy. But trust me when I say the food looks much better than the photos.

Great little mom and pops place. I got the pork tenderloin and it was fantastic. Brown gravy was some of the best I had. Tried my daughter’s pizza and it was good too. Quite surprised considering it being Monroe City. Our waitress was sweet, but forgot a couple things I had asked for and had to be reminded. Besides that, staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely return when I visit family there again.

Monroe Family restaurant does the home town proud. Most weekday evenings are probably slow but that doesn’t seem to slow down the helpfulness and enthusiasm of the workers or the quality of their food.

Was in town (well Hunnewell) for work. Stopped by here for lunch and it was great. Friendly attentive service, very reasonable price, and good selection of good food on the buffet.

Rather busy. I ordered an appetizer, and then ordered my main food 10 minutes later, and both items came out at the same time 10 minutes after that. So 20 minute wait for an appetizer that appears with the main dish.
