We’ve been here 5-6 times now for lunch and dinner, and the quality and taste is always consistent. Great food and really nice ambience. The best part is how they actually listen when we ask to adjust the spice levels for the kids. Most places don’t really pay attention to those requests, but here they get it right every time. Definitely a go-to spot for us!

First thing you see is the stunning ambience! I’ll go into that later, but let’s talk FOOD! I ordered the Gully chicken and Bandi noodles. The Gully chicken was ASTONISHING! Texture was chewy and paired with the crispy shell and that SAUCE! HIGHLY recommend for anyone who is bored of just spicy. The noodles are great, not amazing, but I see potential. The noodles were very flavourful, not spicy but it was interesting to say the least. I really enjoyed the crispy and juicy chicken. Might seem basic, but it’s the mastery of the simple that elevate the experience.
The service delightful. We asked to be reseated and the staff tried their best, but the store was busy, even at 1 pm. The manager is active on the floor and made consistent checks to make sure everything was going well, even though it’s been quite some time since the resteraunt opened.
Now the ambience! There are tasteful accents of gold everywhere you look. The utensils and playing was lovely and very fancy. There are simple installments on the walls with green lighting. Speaking of green, the ceiling has hanging greenery and a variety of chandeliers. Words cannot describe the place. If I could, i would give ambience a 6.
Overall, it’s a must go!
(Side note, don’t be fooled by the portion sizes. They look small but fill you up a lot.)

I am a fan of their crispy fried corn, burnt garlic fried rice, bandi style fried rice and bandi style noodles. drums of heaven were good. Momos not as much. Lamb chops juicy and succulent but a little salty. Otherwise great place. Great restaurant. Great ambience, friendly staff(unlike most Indian restaurants).

Loved the ambiance, probably the best Indian restaurant atmosphere in and around Austin. We ordered Manchow soup, Crispy corn, street style egg noodles and Donne chicken biryani. Chikoo milkshake. Each and every item is so delicious. I highly recommend this place. For such a fancy looking places, the prices don’t seem to be as expensive as some of the other Indian restaurants. Overall such a great experience and would definitely comeback again.

Went last night for dinner to try something new. The restaurant is very clean, the server was extremely nice and helpful, and the food was amazing. We were very impressed with the whole experience. It’s not terribly expensive. My husband and I each had an entree and we shared a dessert. The bill was $36 and we tipped $8. We will definitely be back for more! I had the bandi style noodles and my husband had street noodles. Both were delicious!

I went to Monks with my girl friends, and we really enjoyed it! They serve good-quality Chinese dishes, and I especially liked one of their customizable appetizers – you can choose different gravies and add baby corn, cauliflower, chicken, etc… They also have great main-course options and varieties in noodles and fried rice.
The ambience is lovely and spacious, so even when it’s crowded, it doesn’t feel congested.
Definitely going back again!

Visited around noon, and it started off slow. Ordered Chicken Chilli Wings, Crispy Corn, and Bandi Style Noodles, our usual picks from their Lewisville and Irving locations. The noodles came out second, but we wanted to have our appetizers first, so we waited for the crispy corn, which took multiple reminders to arrive. The wings came after about 15 minutes and were really good, and the crispy corn was great once it finally came. But the noodles were completely off — tasted like pure vinegar. We told the server, who said the manager would stop by, but no one did until I went to the counter myself. The manager (one of the owners) was polite and offered to remake them, but the second batch came out burnt. The person with me was fine until then but gave up after tasting that. They also didn’t have any drinks except Chikoo shake and canned sodas — not even Thums Up, which was surprising for an Indian restaurant. We got the noodles voided, paid for the rest, and left. The owner tried to explain, but by that time, we were done. I get that it’s a new place, but they really need to step up their service, coordination, and food consistency.

The restaurant wasn’t busy, just a few families inside, so it felt a bit strange when the server immediately asked if we had a reservation. We put in our starter and main course orders together, and the pacing turned out to be the biggest issue. It took about 40 minutes for the first starter to arrive, another 10 minutes for the rest, and the main course actually showed up before all the starters.
The ambience is too good with nice lights, chandeliers, and colorful furniture. It’s a place that looks warm and inviting the moment you walk in.
Corn fry was our favorite. Chicken lollipops were okay, and the Apollo fish fry didn’t work for us. The street style bandi noodles and fried rice were solid, and the Donne biryani was the highlight of the meal. The fry piece biryani, on the other hand, was pretty bad, but the owner replaced it as a courtesy, which we appreciated.
The chikoo milkshake had good flavor but was way too sweet, so we couldn’t finish it.
Overall, the place needs some fine tuning, especially on service and timing. It’s a new spot, so hopefully things improve on our next visit.

Monks Round Rock is easily one of the best Indo-Chinese fusion spots in Austin! We ordered the paneer starter, donne biryani, chicken curry, and rabdi with gulab jamun. Everything tasted amazing, but the dessert truly stole the show. Not many restaurants offer rabdi, and their kesar rabdi paired with gulab jamun absolutely hits the spot. The service was warm and exceptional, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this place for both dine-in and take-out!
