This is not like the other Monjunis I have been to. This is exceptional Italian food and very friendly. Best service and really good people. Everything i have tried is awesome!!! Its hard to find good service and good Italian food anymore. But they have it here. And if you come, try the mint tea, it is awesome!!! If your in Bossier City , Louisiana, come by and try it. I guarantee you will be back. My favorite place to eat when we come here!!!

We dined at this location for the first time…it won’t be our last! We were warmly greeted, and seated by the owner, Lisa Susano. My wife chose the chicken lasagna and I had the cheesy chicken spaghetti. Both were hits! Hot, very flavorful, and generous portions. Our server, Daisy was a gem. We even ordered the crawfish ravioli and some Italian cream cake to go…both, were awesome as well. We are already looking forward to our next trip!

Chicken cheesy spaghetti was good but nothing special – mostly cheese! The bread was crunchy and the marinara was tasty. Got a milky way cake for dessert (served as a muffin). It was delicious! The caramel/marshmallow topping was an oozie pile of goodness !

I have been raised eating true Italian meals, Grandma was Sicilian, but I am in love with the sweet marinara sauce. I measure all Italian restaurants by a basic spaghetti and meatballs comparison, and I love theirs. Grandma would not approve of the sweet sauce but I bet she would love it.

I’m always amazed at these hometown places that aren’t that good but generate a cult following over the years.
I tried Monjunis for the first time. I was thinking I would order Chicken Parmesan or Fettuccini Alfredo but the waitress was quick to recommend the Chicken Aurora so that’s what I went for.
First of all, let me state that the waitress was super attentive. This was one of the best I’ve experienced in a long time. She was awesome.
Inside has a cluttered look from decorating days gone by.
They brought out a basket of bread with a side of marinara sauce. The bread was just toasted sliced bread and the marinara was overly sweet. When I go to an Italian place, I want the bread to knock my socks off. This didn’t. I wouldn’t come back for the bread alone like I would say some places.
The Chicken Aurora arrived quickly and was not much more than baked spaghetti with some grilled chicken thrown in. The sauce wasn’t that flavorful and was sparse so it ended up being a pretty tasteless dish.
So we’ve come to the big question??? Would I go back? Nothing I ate will go on my gotta try it list. Nothing made me want to go back. I may go back at some point to try a dish I’m used to but it wouldn’t be my recommended Italian spot.

Great food, great staff, and I loved the decor! The table bread is excellent, we loved the meatball nachos and their lasagna is amazing. Not your typical red sauce, very sweet, which I enjoyed.

I’m changing my review to include that since the original post the location has been on point every time I visited. The flavors are always good. The service is always fantastic and quick. This is our favorite location now! It is in a convenient location. I frequent Airline Dr. and I love Italian food! The fried ravioli is delicious and the house salad is the best ever!

First time trying Monjunis and I was a bit disappointed. The food lack seasoning. The pasta sauce is heavily sweet. It felt like I could make something way better at home, but I gotten recommended by this restaurant. I had high hopes for the food, since they also have great reviews. The service was amazing, so I can’t complain about that. Overall, I would like to give Monjunis another try.

I came in and ordered an artichoke salad with Italian dressing to go. The menu said it had lettuce and tomatoes with the artichokes My bad that I didn’t look at it until I got home (Minden). Unbelievably it had artichokes, a big glob of olives and the dressing. No lettuce, no tomatoes. I would have brought it back if I lived in Bossier. I do t k ow what happened to this order but I certainly won’t get anything to go again from here and not even sure I will go back at all. This was a first! I e eaten here several times before and the service and food were fine.
