We recently rented the party room at Monjaras Kitchen for an event and also had them cater, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was delicious, fresh, and plentiful—they did a great job keeping everything full throughout the event.
The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure all of our needs were met. They were accommodating, friendly, and professional, and they gave us plenty of time to set up without ever making us feel rushed to leave once the event was over.
I’ve eaten at Monjaras Kitchen several times before and have never been disappointed, and hosting an event there was just as impressive. Everything ran smoothly, and our guests were very happy. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend Monjaras Kitchen for both dining and hosting events.

My husband and I, my daughter and grand daughter received terrible service . My husband ordered the trilepto sandwich and my daughter and I ordered tostatos. not a special order. simple dishes. My husbands sandwich came while my daughter and I WAITED OVER AN HOUR to get our tostados. A family of 7 came in after us and b received their meals within 15 minutes along with at least a half dozen other tables. They all received their meals prior to us. No one came and offered extra beverages or chips, no apologies, no wait staff ever came to our table after we ordered. Finally, I was so upset I called a waitress over and asked for our bill. i told her it was rude to serve 1 family member his sandwich and not serve everyone elses at the same time. She than said sorry but we are busy. She than said our order was coming right out and asked if we wanted our food to be packed to go. um no honey, if I wanted a carry out I would of ordered that. she went back, got our food and the tostados had no cheese, no sour cream, just lettuce and meat, a scat amount of beans that you couldnt even taste. oh anday I add that the are supposed to be open til 8 pm and at 7;16 I seen a young male worker go to the door and flip the sign on the door to closed and smirk at another co worker ! Horrible !! I will never go back !

I ordered the Canasta de Camaron with Rice with Pigeon Peas and it was AMAZING! I’ve never has anything like it but everything was delicious! I also tried their Piña Colada (non alcoholic) and it was so good! I’ve eaten here twice now and will definitely be a regular! Puerto Rican & Mexican options!
