I had Veal Florentino which is on the menu as Chicken Florentino. Chef Atila accommodated me to make it veal, add a slice of eggplant on is as well and I really appreciate that service. It was delicious!!! I cannot say enough about how terrific the service, the food as well as the cozy atmosphere were so “on point”. I most times start out my dining with a gin martini, which I must add was perfect. They offer a $20 menu every Sunday from 1-4 PM, I’ll try that this coming Sunday. Happy Holidays!

Fantastic restaurant with the best food ,drinks, waitstaff and prices. First we were given hot bread and butter, then ,We had the calamari app. That was the cleanest I have ever had! A delicious salad followed. Next I had the eggplant rolotini, my friends had tortellini cabonara and eggplant Parmigiano. Everything was so yummy. I can’t wait til my next trip to n.j. just so I can eat at Monica’s again

First time at Monica’s. It was 3 of us. This is a really nice place. You can eat indoors or outside. The place was full. As soon as they seat you they bring water to drink, bread with cheese and salad. What. A+. The food was delicious. We ordered Lobster Ravioli and Fettuccini with shrimp.

First time ever ordering from Monica’s and all I can say is WOW!!! I ordered the Salmon ,my husband ordered the Luciano and we got the Mozzarella Frita for an appetizer everything was so delicious. Great portion sizes we couldn’t even finish our meal.Food was so flavorful will definitely order from again .

First time after wanting to stop in for years. We ate in their rear courtyard which was really pleasant. Largely shielded from the outside, music playing softly to not overpower conversations. Food didn’t disappoint. Shared an excellent fried mozzarella appetizer. I had a delicious veal saltimbocca and the wife had the seafood risotto. Will surely return in spite of its one dark spot.
While the waiter we had was attentive and adequate for sure, he had no warmth or welcoming attitude. When supporting any local establishment it’s important for them to genuinely provide a friendly experience, whether it’s the hardware store or a restaurant. Perhaps it was just an off night for him as the supporting busboys surely made up for his surliness. We look forward to returning and hopefully having a more complete pleasurable evening.

Monica’s is a cute little corner restaurant. There’s limited seating so a reservation is recommended. Also, there’s only metered street parking but one quarter equals to one hour. The specials were amazing. The sangria was more like juice and the tiramisu was average. Overall, Monica’s is a good place to get dinner.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The hostess was rude and unaccommodating. When we arrived, she told us there were no tables available inside and seated us in the entryway instead. However, after we were already seated, several couples came in without reservations and were given tables inside right away. It was frustrating and felt dishonest. The way the situation was handled left a very negative impression, and I wouldn’t recommend this place based on the poor customer service.
