Located in the heart of Glassboro, the new Monarch Diner takes over where PB’s Diner was located. The building has been completely renovated and features a new dining area as well as an upgraded counter and kitchen. The family owned diner offers patrons Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Handcrafted Chef Specials, and Brunch on the weekends. We will be open 7 days a week from 6:30am thru 9pm Sunday thru Thursday and 6:30am thru 10pm Friday and Saturday.

Second time for dinner at Monarch tonight. Ordered the Marblehead Seafood Combo. Dinner came with crabcake, stuffed flounder, stuffed shrimp, and 2 sides. Also comes with soup, salad and dessert for $20. My wife had chicken and pasta dish. Both meals were delicious and our server (I apologize for not taking note of her name) was so great. Our total check was $50 and we brought home 1/2 our meals and 2 rice puddings. Tonight they were also giving guests a piece of Anniversary cake to celebrate their 6 or 7 years in business. Can’t beat it!! We plan to revisit often.

The service is always great but the food can go either way. Today my daughter ordered chocolate chip pancakes. When the arrived it was an order of pancakes with a few chocolate chips placed on top (not baked in like they normally are). I got the french toast and it was wonderful.

The food was good and we had nice size portions. Some staff were nice and some others were okay. It was early and staff were just getting in so not too chipper that early. As we were leaving, locals were coming in for Sunday breakfast and it was beginning to get crowded.

Server was very friendly. Calamari appetizer was a bit mushy and the plate was very oily (seemed like the fryer temp was a bit low). Shrimp Alfredo was quite nice. Wife enjoyed her chicken parm alla vodka. My son enjoyed his huge micky chocolate chip pancake.

The daughter was very good with setting us right away, the waiter was excellent and offered great suggestions. The food came out in a very timely manner. The food was delicious. Had a great time once inside I believe they always come through with consistent food. Their portions were large.

Had a fantastic Saturday morning breakfast at Monarch Diner in Glassboro with my young nieces and daughter. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming—perfect for a family outing.
My nieces ordered the apple crepes and strawberry crepes, and both were a huge hit. The apple crepes, in particular, were absolutely outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My daughter had the cheesesteak omelette and declared it was “balling”—cheesy, hearty, and loaded with flavor. She absolutely loved it.
They also enjoyed yummy milkshakes, which were the perfect sweet treat to go along with breakfast—rich, creamy, and just fun for the kids.
Service was pleasant and attentive without being overbearing. The staff made us feel right at home, and everything came out quickly despite it being a busy morning.
Great food, friendly service, and a perfect spot for a relaxed weekend breakfast. We’ll definitely be back!

We went in for an early birthday dinner on 3/2 and Megan was our waitress. It was a great meal and she was especially attentive. We wanted for nothing. She was there with refills before being asked, was friendly and professional. We come here a lot and this was actually the first time it really felt like a treat. What a sweetheart she is. I will be asking for her for now on.

Always great food and service—one of our favorite spots for breakfast. We’ve had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Monarch Diner and never had a bad meal. The French toast is especially delicious. It can get a little busy on weekend mornings, but we’ve never had to wait long. There’s plenty of parking, and the four-season room offers extra seating, though it can be a bit noisy. Service is consistently prompt and friendly without feeling rushed. The Bloody Marys are pretty decent too.
